Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CyprusVery expensive for a hostel €48 per night including breakfast and 2 Km away from the city center. At Brugge including breakfast the Snuffel hotel/hostel costs €31 per night including breakfast too!! The Sint Peters station is not so far but it is 3,5 Km away. I walked both times with my heavy luggage 45 minutes to reach Treck hostel and another 45 minutes when i took the train going to Bruges. There is tram too, to reach the train station but the point is Not to use any tram even to go to the city center neither to the train station. There is deposit €20 for the key! At Snuffel hotel/hostel and in some others they do not take deposit. The water was not so hot, it must be at least 35°C and not 20-25°C.
Very good decoration, big space for gatherings &events. The dining room was satisfactory with good breakfast (eggs, marmalade, cheese, bread, juice, milk &cornflakes). Wonderful garden and chairs outside to enjoy your coffee and breakfast too. The size of the lockers was big enough to place a travel bag. The toilets and showers had been clean with new clean curtains. It is very safe! The door outside provides guarantee safety that nobody can enter the hostel. The wireless key 🗝️ is a great idea.

United KingdomThe kitchen could have been a little bigger and tidier, but that said there was no-one else using it when I was.
Sometimes "eclectic" accommodation is an excuse for unkept facilites, but this hostel is "eclectic" in the best sense of the term. All was good with good security including lockers. Other reviews suggested that toilets wer far from the dorm. However there were toilets right outside dorm 3 where I was allocated. I travelled by car and was able to park right outside overnight at no charge.

PolandThe location is a bit away from the city center but it’s a quiet place and we enjoyed walking around.
The staff were very nice. It was quiet at night even though the hostel was full. The breakfast was good. We were worried about whether my husband would fit on the bed (he is 190 cm), but there was no problem with that.

NetherlandsIt was a bit far from the Centre. But still doable on foot and otherwise you can take the tram.
The atmosphere was really nice. True backpacker vibes. They thought of a little basket at the top bunk for your phone and stuff which is great.

United KingdomThe showers are a bit cramped and could do with some more hooks and perhaps a shelf to put things on.
Basically an indoor campsite, with caravans and tents to sleep in, plus some more traditional hostel rooms upstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff and a more than adequate breakfast buffet. If you like quirky, you'll love it.

AustraliaThe bathroom is a little far away but not the end of the world. The hostel itself is a little far from the city 20-30min walk, but you can just hire a share bike and you’ll be in the city in a few mins! Also during the Ghent festival it’s actually better that it’s a bit further away from all the noise
Really enjoyed staying here during the Ghent festival, was in a 12 bed dorm but it’s v spacious so don’t feel too cramped and it makes it easier to meet people. Really comfortable and entertaining common areas, relatively clean spacious bathrooms, nice showers Most of the staff quite friendly

AustriaThe vans were not soundproof so you could hear a lot of noises from the other guests even though everyone really tried to make no noises. But the hostel provided free earplugs.

IndiaThe only downside was that this time the bathroom-toilet area was a bit far from our room. So we had to walk all the way down every time we needed to use the same.
We stayed at this property an year back, and based on our great experience back then, we returned to stay here again, despite of the fact that this was a bit far from the festival we had to attend during our visit to Ghent. We stayed in a 5 bed mixed dormitory this time. The room had a sink which was very handy to use to fill water and brushing teeth upon waking up. We also used the hostel's kitchen extensively to prepare our meals, even using the free vegetables which the hostel provides. Great breakfast too.
