The hotel doesn't check messages very often. It resulted in our arrival to the locked front door. We've been staying and waiting for another 30 minutes at midnight to get the keys. We booked a room with a private bathroom, it wasn't private though. We had to pass the shared corridor to enter the bathroom. Weird, isn't it? Especially if you never wear a pajama ). The breakfast was included but has never been offered ( the host subtracted 10 euros from our payment though). Overall, we wouldn't have stayed there if we were aware of all of these changes...

The location is great as well as the view. The room was clean. The working AC saved our lives there).

There should be more toilet paper rolls, in the bathroom there was only a liquid soap.There should be one more hands towel and a perfume for the bathroom as from time to time we could smell something badly.

The room was big, with a modern TV.The bathroom was big, too.There was a balcony with a beautiful view on the river and Assen Monument. You can park your car in front of the accommodation on a narrow street, there are only 2-3 places.The parking is free there. The hotel is in the Old Town. We could talk with the receptionist ( who doesn't stay there) via Google Translator and it worked great as he doesn't speak English.

Cobwebs, mattress, broken items including non-functioning hairdryer and free breakfast that doesn't exist.

The owner is friendly and helpful, but you give him cash and don't see him again. There is no breakfast and no frills. Had to ask for shampoo and conditioner, there was only pump hand soap. He did drop off body gel and shampoo packets. Thanks! You get and amazing view, but be careful of the railing. That was my big problem with the property. The cobwebs need to be removed and things that are broken should be replaced. It's a beautiful old building off Gurko. Have fun parking. It IS a two way street but only one car fits at a time. That is just the way it is, so dont freak out. Park right in front of the hotel. Park as clos to the building as possible. Otherwise, you are taking a local residential spot. Mattress wasn't very comfortable. In our opinion, should be replaced. Our private bathroom was enormous! That and the view were the best parts for us. Watch out for ants. They love to explore. Didn't see them at first. Don't put items on the floor if you don't want them exploring it.

It was not clean, there was mold in the toilet and spider nets all around the room, plus very dusty cables that were supposed to be lamps but aren't, yet (I've been here before and definitely had much better room).

The location and the view are great. There is always a parking spot, altho the street is a bit challenging (narrow).

The fact that it is presented as with parking space, as where the parking is on. The public road on extremely beautifull but very narrow roads. The risk of damage your car is not small.

The owners was very friendly as well as the staff, but realistically it is a 1 star hotel, for a 1 star hotel it does tick all the boxes without a doubt Nice location, great view from the balcony and clean.

Because it is next to the river, there are many bugs. (including a centipede). If there was any way to implement a pest control, it would improve a lot. Bathroom is shared. It says breakfast, I didn't ask for it so it wasn't really a problem, but it is just a guesthouse, so I am not sure where this would be if you pay for it. Overall with a little bit more cleanliness the hotel would be perfect.

Location is incredible, by the river, although beware if you go by car, it is a very narrow street, no asfalt, only stones.

When making the reservation i booked a room with breakfast, but at our arrival the host told us that at this moment it is not possible to have breakfast.

Lack to none parking space Says it has breakfast, but it doesn't, and nearby places that serve breakfast/ coffee won't serve you if you are not staying with them. I am not a morning person. No towels provided, (first time I didn't bring my own) we had to scout the city were we could buy some. Spider webs in all corners off the room (i understand that its close to vegetation area /nature, but they could have cleaned them in-between clients. When you arrive there is no-one there, you have to call the number so that someone can come and give you the keys to tha room.

The view was really nice and the balcony made it better with really good views of the old town and monuments, the room was a really good size with a large wetroom, the owner was a nice friendly person which makes all the difference..

The hotel was situated in the quiet area of VT. The room was spacious with superb views of the area breathtaking to be exact. Meeting the needs of all parties. The room was very clean and tidy and would definitely come back and recommend the owner was fantastic meeting the needs of my mum and myself xx

No hotel lobby no staff on site or available. It wasn’t open when we arrived, stand in the street for 10 minutes for someone to arrive. No tea coffee making facilities, no safe or fridge. Half a toilet roll for our stay. No breakfast as per booking. Only met one staff member who had no English and everything on Google translate .
