My dorm was not very well looked after and there was multiple tiles missing on the floor. Definitely not enough bathrooms but it looked like they were building more!

The reception isn’t open very long during the day and the wifi doesn’t work in the rooms but it works in the common space so nice to get out of the room if I needed to use the internet instead.

Great location and lots of space in the middle for socialising or chilling by yourself! The room was cleaned every day. I booked the full day snorkelling tour through the hostel too and it was so much fun ☺️

One cleaner forced my partner to move in the middle of teaching a class online. Given that digital nomads are pretty common these days, we were shocked by his lack of understanding. My partner even explained what he was doing, but the cleaner stood there and asked him repeatedly to move. There was a note that said 'Housekeeping begins at 10am' but this occurred at 2pm, when my partner was simply sitting in the corner of the dorm room quietly teaching on his laptop. The cleaner then moved everything out from under our bed, our clothes and bags, banged shoes loudly and repeatedly on the floor and swept the same small patch of floor a dozen times. It was quite frustrating and rude. I've also never seen cleaners handle and move people's clothes and belongings excessively like this before, having travelled and stayed in hostels for 15 years. There were also unnecessarily harsh messages on the app before we arrived, about leaving bags in rooms after checking out, and there's a ten dollar charge for 'late check in' 2 hours after first check-in, which is hilarious given the hostel's name is Go Slow! Overall the hostel is fine, but it could do better on these elements.

Most of the staff were really kind and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and clean, the beds were comfy, the location ideal.

No privacy in the room and upper beds don’t have a side bar. Airco is managed centrally, and for me it was too hot at night. There is a fan in the room you can turn on, but it’s like 7 pigs snorting.

There are very few toilets and showers. It's very basic in general.

The kitchen is very nice and clean and very well equipped. Its well located and the dorms are very big and beds comfortable. I liked that you can rent kayaks for free and bikes (not free).

Communication was a bit spotty prior to our stay but when we arrived the reception was very nice. Also did not have hot water in the morning for a shower.

As a budget accommodation, it was very nice. Hammocks for lounging outside the room with nice common areas and a kitchen.

If you check in after 5pm you need to give them a long heads up about the precise time you're coming. Otherwise you might have to wait a long time to be checked in.

This place is clean, comfortable, has hot water, dorms have plenty of space, AC runs all night so no bathing in your own sweat. Some of the best value for your money you can get on the island.

There is no free water which adds up a lot over time. Also it can take awhile to get things done through reception including check in (there is a 4% bank transaction fee so make sure you have cash!). The slogan for Caye Caulker is Go Slow so it does need a lot of adjustment!

The hostel is in a great location, very close to many restaurants and bars, but not on the main strip so that it is a bit quieter. It's also really great value for money. They clean the rooms twice a day which is also great.

The staff is rarely at the hostel. When it's raining, it's also raining inside the shower / toilet. My bed was really uncomfortable as I felt the metals inside the mattress. I told the staff and they told me to flip my mattress. Didn't much help.
