Nice 9 day stay at Lily Pad on Caye Caulker

Be prepared for muddy/slick dirt roads with some traffic (walkers, bicyclists and golf carts) as you make your way into town.

Clean, private, away from the downtown bars and restaurants and in a more local neighborhood, which we prefer. Host, Mike, was proactive and easy to communicate with both on-site and via text.

    No complaints!

I would highly recommend this to couples, families and those traveling alone! Our hosts were very friendly, flexible and helpful. The accommodations are great! The cottage is clean, spacious and has everything you need. There are small perks that make a big difference- house and beach towels provided, local beers on arrival, large jugs of filtered water, complimentary taxi to cottage on arrival, free bikes to utilize while staying. Also, glorious AC. Great stay!

We really enjoyed the owners Mike and Lilly their 2 dogs Harley and Bruno. This is a nice added security. The cottage was very clean, quiet and off the main strip so it’s nice and quiet at night. The bike ride to all the action in town ( ice and beans, sip n dip Roy”s and the lazy lizard at the split) takes only 5 minutes from the property. Bikes are provided and in good condition.

    Nothing liked it fully

Set up was great. New clean and the kitchenette was handy. Quiet location not far from the main part of town.

Nothing, this stay was everything we has hoped for.

The Lily Pad is a fantastic little spot and we couldn't have asked for anything better! The cottages are clean, air conditioned and provide everything you need for cooking and relaxing. The location has the cottages tucked away in a quiet, safe corner of the island but only short bikeride away from literally everything on Caye Caulker - and bikes are provided free of charge! Mike and Lily are extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. Since they live next door, they are right there when you need them but otherwise will give you all privacy you desire. Last, but certainly not least, their goofy and friendly dog Harley is always there to greet you and will happily accept your friendship from the moment you get there to the moment you leave!

Mike and Lily were welcoming us very warmly and made sure that we had everything we needed. With the bikes the distance to the restaurants etc is no problem at all. We had a great time there.

    Nothing, it was perfect

Don't look any further. Book this place now. Mike and Lilly where exceptional host. They offer free use of the bikes which let us explore the entire island all day, everyday. No need for a golf cart. They answered all our questions, gave us suggestions and got us anything we needed. The cottage is adorable and exactly as shown in the pictures. The air works great but the nice island breeze was lovely thruout the cottage. We loved the location. It was close to everything. Near the locals to learn the culture of Belize and a very short bike ride or walk into the main tourist area. The split is about a 5-10 minute bike ride. The cottage was clean and safe. Mike & Lillly gave us plenty of privacy. The cottage has everything you need to cook meals, refrigerator & freezer, microwave, stove, oven, utensils, coffee etc. Mike & Lilly welcomed us like family. The welcome beers were awesome. Even their sweet dog Harley greeted us daily. He is friendly and keeps an eye on the place. I would stay here again and can't wait to return to this wonderful island. Ask for Gilbert he is a great golf cart taxi and very knowledable and knows everyone. Reef Snorkling to Hoi Chan, Shark Alley is a must. Iguana Reef inn has sting ray's daily. Sip n Dip, Pelican sunset bar and Pellicano, Errolyn's House Of Fryjacks, Ice and Beans are great restaurants and hangouts. Check out the north side of the island with the bikes which you can get to by the split ferry. Exceptional place to stay for our 20th Anniversary. Thank you Mike & Lilly for a wonderful 8 days.

    No complaints! All was perfect.

We cannot say enough great things about this place and Mike and Liliana. The place was so clean and location was perfect. Far enough away from the noise but close enough to still bike to town and the split. The cottage was adorable and comfortable and they had little touches that went above and beyond, such as two cold beers awaiting us upon check-in. But our favorite part about this place was Mike, Liliana and their dog Harley. They made us feel like family and at home during our whole stay. We will not hesitate to return. A must if you are visiting Caye Caulker.
