How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The home is pretty new and location is also great nearby many beautiful beaches. Host Svetlo is also very accommodating.

The place was easy to find, and immaculate inside. Everything we wanted, but not overcrowded with "stuff". Beds were great, kitchen great, bathroom great! Loved it. Would absolutely go again if we're in the area.

Memory foam pillows aren't my favourite, and I'd have preferred a flat sheet in addition to the duvet. The linens are nice, though.
Location is quiet, safe, and secure. The suite is spotless, spacious, well-equipped, and the bathtub is fabulously deep. Parking is easy. Lots of amenities within a 12min drive. Check in and out and easy. Hosts communicative and friendly. I have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so in the future.

That my stay was too short.
Absolutely everything. The location, ease of check in. The kindness and attentiveness of the Host. How incredibly clean and attention to detail everything was. Incredibly quiet. Beds comfy and of high quality, sheets and linens clean. Outstanding quality.

I could of used a broom to sweep up my mess but I couldn't find one other than that everything was perfect
I loved how friendly the owner was he was definitely one of the best I've yet to meet and the suite was stocked up with everything needed. I was very comfortable

The guesthouse is in a great central location with convenient on site parking! Once inside, the hosts have thought of absolutely everything which made it a perfect and comfortable stay.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment! The location was perfect, close to everything we needed, yet still peaceful and quiet. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and had all the amenities to make us feel right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it easy to cook meals. The host was very responsive and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay—I’d love to stay here again!

Very quiet, safe neighbourhood close to the water if you're into a morning explore. Well equipped and furnished with comfy bed and desks if you need to work! Hosts were lovely and personable.

Beautifully done walk out suite with nice finishing etc. Host was very quick to answer any enquires even coming down to help us find the extra blankets. Fridge was stalked with pop and water and there was even Doritos in the cupboard. Also loved that there wasn't a long to do list upon leaving.

3 seater sofa was uncomfortable, could feel the metal framework when sitting either end. It didn’t detract from it being a great place but when the rest is so new it seems a shame to use an old sofa.
Immaculately clean, most of it looked brand new. Great washing & drying machines, a huge TV & comfortable beds. Plenty of water provided by way of bottles in fridge and a water cooler, plus coke in the fridge. Could park right outside too. Host was quick to respond to messages.

It was quite a drive out of downtown Nanaimo, you definitely need a car. We arrived late and would have loved a cup of tea with real milk but the shops were too far away. A suggestion would be to add a small jug of milk to the hosts well stocked fridge 😊
