The hospitality we received from Sonya and Rosalee was absolutely exceptional. The room had all the amenities you would expect., then bed was very comfortable. They were both knowledgeable about nearby places and restaurants and made appropriate reservations for us when requested. The breakfasts were beyond delicious. It was tough for us to leave them as they went above and beyond expectations.

The only thing that I didn't like was the actual toilet seat. I know, I know...a stupid thing really. However, for those times you need to stay seated longer than 30 seconds, the ridge on the inner rim of the seat was totally uncomfortable on the back of the thighs.

Everything about this place was just top notch!! We stayed in the L’Effet mer room, and it was AMAZING!! The room (the entire inn, really) was decorated beautifully. The bed was so comfortable, and the room truly had the best shower I've ever been able to use. It was large, had shelves for our toiletries, and the water pressure was fantastic. I know that sounds weird, but after using some tiny showers with no where to put my own toiletries, I totally appreciate a nice one. :) Another thing that needs to be mentioned are the breakfasts. Oh my word! They don't come with the price of the room, but they are definitely worth it. There are 3 different courses, and each one is simply delicious. I highly recommend enjoying breakfast at the inn. If my husband and I ever return to Matane, I will absolutely book here again with zero hesitation!

Only complaint I have was that there wasn’t much water pressure in the shower.

There was nothing we didn't like. Maybe a quick lesson in how to operate the shower?

The room was lovely with huge tub and shower. The only downside to the room was that we had trouble with the coffemaker! Our hostess was very helpful and informative. We both tried very hard to communicate in our respective first languages and got on very well!! Appreciated her attention to detail and her supper recommendations. She also accommodated our need for an earlier breakfast.

Breakfast was not available. As this has been mentioned as highlight by many other guests, we were a bit disappointed about it.

The room has a lot of nice details and is designed with great care! Our host welcomed us thoroughly and gave us a lot od tips for our stay in Matane. The location is well located.

This has nothing to do with the property - but across the road about an eighth of a mile away is a ridiculously bright McDonald’s billboard sign. It flashes and is brighter than a lighthouse. If you get that room you will need to use the blackout curtains provided. This is not the fault of the proprietors- just a bad zoning allowance.

It’s a beautiful home and everything was warm and inviting and immaculate.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We spent two nights with Sonia, one at the start of our trip around the Gaspe and one at the end. Both of the rooms were clean comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was available for an extra fee but was well worth the cost. Delicious meal and excellent service.

Pillows were too firm for our liking but I'm sure we could have asked for softer ones.

Lovely accomodations in a beautiful old home. Our group had a 2nd and 3rd floor room with jacuzzi tubs and sitting areas. Well equipped with good attention to details. Sonia was very helpful and friendly! The breakfast was healthy and delicious, worth the cost. English was adequate. We would stay here again!

The style of the room and the attention to details

absolutely adorable little inn. the room was decorated, maintained, and stocked with attention to detail and an emphasis on a retro experience. Absolutely recommend the breakfast offered for a minor charge
