The area has several folks with what appears to be drug psychosis wandering just outside and around the motel.

The room was very spacious with lots of amenities. You could tell that someone cared and put effort into making this motel a nicer place with renovations.

The owner was nice. The price matched the expectations. It had all the basics and the necessities for a good night's rests. No complaints.

I can’t say this about all the rooms, but the shower/ tub in our newly renovated room could’ve used a couple of bars on the wall, could be a bit slippery especially for the elderly.

Room and beddings very clean, a lot of upgrades over the years . Situated minutes from amenities groceries/ restaurants etc. Close to Nanaimo’s world class tourists spots, Neck point park, Pipers Lagoon park and fishing and walking pier in maffeo Sutton park.friendly staff.

The bathroom taps didn't shut off properly, and the door was difficult to close.

The room we stayed in was tucked in the corner down a bit of a hallway, which was perfectly fine for us. However, the neighbouring patrons were always sitting outside of their rooms smoking cigarettes. This made the little hallway that we had to go down to get to our room smell heavily of smoke. Not really any fault of the property, just unfortunate for us.

Great location, right off the main drag, makes it really easy to get wherever you want to go. Well laid out rooms that are perfect for families.

The remote for the TV didn't work. There wasn't a daily clean, bedmaking or top up of tea/coffee. It isn't close to the city centre or places of interest.

The kitchen was well appointed. The towels were displayed nicely when we arrived. The price was good.

The room stank of cigarette smoke which wasn't ideal especially considering the notice when checking in that smoking would incurr a $300 charge... The bed would tip up if you sat on the end of it Room was small Hairdryer was very low power

Springs in Queen size bed on right were uncomfortable; had to move to far right so could sleep; could not use phone for local calls; difficulty using tv and air conditioner.

Could have used a little work "handyman". The workers just sit under the stairs and smoke all day, not the most friendly.

The place was old but still clean. The best part is my room had a good size fridge and an oven with stove that worked well. I was able to cook my family dinner everyday. Very good size, like a 1 bedroom apartment.

No fan in bathroom, we only asked for 1 queen size bed when we booked online but we got 2 so I'm not sure if that raised the price of the room we ended up paying as opposed to the price online when we booked,

Comfortable bed, clean room, hiccup trying to get the tv to work at first but the manager was kind enough to fix it for us, quiet area, easy checkout
