We are well traveled airline crew - Don’t get me wrong - the property itself is nice and better than expected and we liked it - but the rest of the deal is blah. It is Not really a ‘Hotel’ more like an upscale Euro style Automated Hostel or Nice urban non managed US vacation condo. Fees not fully clear in booking.com when comparing properties. ‘Branded hotels’ prices are clear and includes taxes and fees…this type property doesnt include those in the ‘total’ or average nite rate, just the base rate, so it seems a better value than it is - note the highlighted in blue hyperlink in booking.com total for the total price is really the base rate for this type of ‘hotel’ than the total - unless you are really with it and looking for it the extras are easily missed. We ended up paying more for this than we thought plus they held $500 deposit and you go through an extended verification and uploading process to book and pay which felt like an IRS audit. Was a hassle Compared to true hotels with no extra deposits and pay via booking sites. Tough to turn on the shower and set temp before getting doused in piping hot or very cold water - we liked the preset apps for tv like Netflix hulu but there are no live tv channels - KNOW you better plan ahead to have a place to hang out or store your luggage due to firm checkin/out times or you’ll be dragging it around you- no place or person to store it on site we paid and tipped IHG hotel two blocks away to hold for us - we will give a good rating for the property itself - other commentary is towards booking.com

Clean efficient contemporary design - enough space to spread out - good location if you’re a walker to old montreal - a bit far from underground and bus stops though if using that alot - but was on a quiet street a block off the busy streets - big plus for the starter coffee and spaghetti -

Close to sights, restaurants and shops The whole concept was terrific. it’s more like an apartment than a hotel room. it was modern and amenities were very inclusive.

the only concern was the showers are open concept and there is no privacy. my kids had to use towel hanging on the half glass wall to have a bit of privacy. so if it was just one unit share for 4 of us would be a big problem.

property was so well designed and unique. kitchen was very nicely equipped. we were family of 4 that we got 2 suit one for two teenagers and one for us .

The cleaning was subpar at best - simple things were overlooked like dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and unclean glassware left on the shelves. Albeit the rest of the unit seemed clean.

Location is perfect in Old Montreal, slightly away from the main streets packed with tourists. The room itself is super spacious and gorgeously setup with all the amenities you need for a short trip.

The entrance hallway was a little dark, it was a bit frustrating that check-in and check-out times could not be changed, and that there is no place to store luggage before check-in or after check-out - but we made it work.

David Hotel was really easy to get to. It's close to a few different metro stations, it's close to cute cafes and restaurants. The room is large and spacious, and includes quite a few amenities. It was great to have access to a washer/drier! If you like to walk, you can get to so many places on foot from the hotel. Great value.

It would be good to post the general rules on the booking website as I was travelling with my bike to race in the Montreal triathlon and had to make very last minute arrangements for it to be stored elsewhere due to bikes not being allowed on the property at all.

The location was fantastic close to the old Montreal where there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as shops and museums and sights. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well set up with everything I needed.

Beautiful loft in great location with high quality furnishings. Very comfortable and clean. Fab shower, great lightning, kitchen exceptionally well equipped. Fantastic stay. Perfect for needs. Decor was very modern- fun but not necessarily comfortable. No comfortable chair for sitting. Worst of all, the bathroom sink was on a pedestal in the open - no place to put toiletries, have hand towels nearby or see in a mirror while shaving, or wash-up in private.

shower has no privacy no door no wall just partial glass as if you are taking a shower in the middle of the street shower flooring finished with the same epoxy lining done outside which turns to be very slippery once getting wet , a real hazardous with no grab bar to hold on to TV was only linked to Wi-Fi and was braking off most of the time

There is no parking at the hotel and Montreal itself has very limited parking. This should be considered when travelling to Old Montreal itself. The hotel did inform us about it. We did manage to find a paid open parking lot close to the hotel and were lucky enough to find a parking spot for the weekend.

It was the first time I had to check in online without dealing with any people in person. The hotel doesn't have a reception and everything works digitally. Everything was done via e-mail and sms. I must say that the process was very effective and we found it fairly easy.

Absolutely nothing could have been better.

Even the smallest room (suite) of this hotel feels spacious, is extra comfortable and is extremely well designed. It has *everything* a single person or couple needs. The location is also perfect.

We travel a great deal and have built and rent a lot of property and have to say that David Hotel is extremely well thought out, stylish, impeccably clean, centrally located, full of character, comprehensively equipped - why would anyone go anywhere else in the old town, loved it.
