How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

could have used two pillows so it's more comfortable to watch tv and read in bed. also two nightstands as we had twin beds with a nightstand in the middle though neither bed could actually reach the nightstand to put glasses and phone without getting out of bed.

The room was a little small for everything in it. The cafe table and 2 chairs made it a right squeeze
The front office woman was great. I've worked in customer service for many years, and if the owner of the motel is smart, they will do what it takes to keep her. She was friendly and informative. Anticipation of possible requests were addressed before I could ask. Very likable young woman with a smile.

Pretty basic. Advertised as kitchens but supplies are sparse. Bed was fine, the imposter Keurig coffee made coffee that you'd expect from such a michine, that said I have pretty high standards for coffee.
Super friendly and helpful guy at the front desk. If you think of how motels used to be, it was like that. That isn't a bad thing, but good to know.

It was a good place to stop between Golden and Horseshoe Bay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had enough power. The gentleman at the reception was very friendly and let us borrow two bowls for our breakfast. There is a kitchen( only in the evening) and a bbq facility.

Was lots of road works near the motel but that can't be helped and will probably be sorted by now.
No breakfast available. Stayed at the motel for just 1 night when traveling through the area. Rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. Nice and quiet too. Staff very helpful too. Only ventured out for food really as was passing through.

I liked the attention to detail. It was decorated in a pleasing manner that made good use of a small place. It felt newly renovated and super clean. I liked that it felt like the owners really cared about the hotel and their guests.

We liked the attitude of Sukh who assisted us during check-in. Although we made a non-refundable booking for two nights, we wanted to move on the second day, and he arranged for a refund of the second night's accommodation.

The grounds are in desperate need of maintenance and weeding. It doesn’t reflect how nice the rooms are.
The room was very clean, attractive and the bed was so comfortable. The coffee was also good!

Tile still needs some work. Needed cutlery in the kitchen.
Easy access to car, clean and comfortable. You can tell that the motel is being fixed up and will be cute and cozy when it is all done.

Would have loved a dip, but think the pool was still being prepared as no water in it
We were on a stopover between Squamish and Emerald Lake and Destination Inn was perfect. Our room was well equipped and we really enjoyed our terrace space overlooking the central grassed area and pool. Sukh, who liaised with us prior to travel, greeted us and saw us off, was absolutely excellent. Always on the go and busy, but always with a cheery "hi" and smile

Pool not open yet.
The manager is super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are spacious, nice full size bathtub. Love the little patio out the back of room. Great location. Very quiet too.
