The bathroom was very clean and well equipped, but could use updating.

This property is centrally located just a block off the main highway. Perfect for an overnight stop in Duncan. The room was very well equipped, clean, comfortable and nicely modernized. Good value for the money.

I am familiar with Duncan so wasn't too concerned by the neighbourhood, but some people may be concerned. (This is Canada though and, in the scheme of things, very safe. Some people are just having a tough time of it and you may see them in town!) The motel is clearly going through renovations, which is great. My room was freshly updated with a comfortable bed, heat pump, etc. (Bring a sleeping mask though -- the light of the heat pump is very bright.)

At first glance, the motel looks a bit sketchy, but the room -- though small but good value -- was comfortable, quiet, and secure. Walkable to restaurants, downtown, etc.

The room felt cramped and the pillows were too thick. It seemed overpriced for a motel.

The room was clean and the front desk staff were very friendly. We appreciated the offer of a flexible check-in, though we ended up arriving before the posted closing time. We liked that we had a mini-fridge and a Keurig coffeemaker with some free coffee pods. We also appreciated the full cable TV.

Close to our family reunion meet up spot. Motel setting - the inside of the rooms are newly redone. Great to have a bedroom for us and bed in the living area for the grandkids. Nice and quiet. Front desk is very friendly and helpful.

Hard mattress. Overpriced for an older motel, however, hard to find anything reasonably price on Vancouver island. But we knew that, and booked anyway.

The only place to hang clothes was a set of hooks hanging on the bathroom door. There was no ventilation in the bathroom - no fan and we could not get the window open.

I travelled with a friend, so we booked a room with two Queen beds. The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room had some kitchen facilities (small fridge, microwave, coffee machine and cups) which was all that we needed. There was an air conditioner in the room, which was very much appreciated in the hot summer weather. The owners were very helpful. The location was just off the main highway, in a quiet neighbourhood, but close to shops and restaurants. There was free WiFi, but we didn't use it. There was a large screen TV with lots of channels.

For an old style motel they have done a good job of upgrading the rooms. There are some modern touches like a good coffee system, good bed and modern sitting chairs with side tables. It was quiet and clean and I was comfortable. Would return.

The property seems to cater mostly to long term residents who all seem to be sitting outside smoking. Also only the bed room has air conditioning, the front room/kitchen only has a fan.

The room itself was great! It was very comfortable and had a full kitchen (full sized fridge with freezer, stove, oven, microwave, utensils). We weren’t expecting a room so nice given the state of the outside.
