Bars were near and loud, heard people living their best life, screaming and partying until 3 am+. Motel insulation was not suffiscient. When we arrived, room was smoking hot. We tried to turn off the heat but couns not as this is a centralized heating system that was started for winter. Our option was to open the windows…

Place was more like a small appartment with amenities included. Place was cheapest in the area.

The shower head was nonadjustable. the temperature was too high inside the apartment and it wasn't any option to adjust it. There was too much noise from a bar across the building during the night.

The room has a bit of smell. The AC unit is broken, and room heating is not turned on, which is quite cold in October. The front desk is in a separate building 5min walk away, not that close.

The room is huge, with kitchen and plates, utensils, stove, etc. There is also free laundry room. The staff is super nice.

The room is pretty big with a living room section. The inside of the room was all great (the corridor was less so, and was rather long and weird), the location is nice, there's a lot of night life right below.

The furniture was a little old and worn but was comfortable. Extra pillows for sleeping would have been good. We could definitely hear noise from the patrons attending the bar on the corner, but with ear buds in it was hardly noticeable.

Although check-in/out is not on-site, it is a very short walk and the staff was friendly and very helpful, including providing detailed and accurate instructions on where to park (included). The room was spacious and clean. Location was great for walking to eateries and to the Tour de Gatineau race start/finish. Also an easy drive to Carleton to visit our son.

Top stove was old and one burner was broken, No any electric pot, coffee machine only. Loud music was played in the street.

There are three floors of rooms, but no elevator, so be prepared to walk up stairs. There is no place to hang towels in the bathroom and not even a dispenser for toilet paper rolls, which I found rather odd. Bed was comfy, but there were only 2 pillows.

I found the location very convenient - I was attending an event at the Gatineau Conference Centre (Palais de Congrès) which was an easy 10 minute walk away. It is also next to Laval Square with many restaurants and bars, and close to downtown Ottawa over a couple of bridges. I did not need to use the kitchen, but the room seemed to be very well equipped for cooking, with a large fridge, hotplate, pots, dishes and other essentials. I did have a couple of issues (could not find the remote for the air conditioner and had a discrepancy with my bill) and these were promptly and courteously resolved by the staff on duty at Les Suites, a couple of blocks away. The room was large and clean with lots of storage space. I expect that some guests may be staying there longer term. There were lots of towels and these were refreshed and bed remade each day. There was a large screen TV with several channels and Free WiFi was available, but I did not use it. The hotel was quiet, but there was a bit of noise in the street at night because of the proximity to Laval Square. However, it was a long weekend in the summer, so that is to be expected.

Too much noise from outside.

Parking very difficult to find, there are no signs. The parking is not closed to non-hotel cars, and there was lots of noise until past midnight. It was impossible to get a good night sleep, on both nights.
