How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was over priced for the type of accommodations very dated Mix and match towels air conditioner in windows with wood a very old looking motel from the 70’s would have thought around $70-$95 Not $150

The boarded-over/ taped up cardboard on the window where the air conditioning unit used to be. The lack of privacy when the curtains were open. Cabin windows are right at eye level and shared deck means you and your neighbours are in very close proximity. Sorry that the staffing problem has meant the reception area is pretty informal and there is no restaurant. Also, the photo on the website is of the pretty main house, but that's not where you stay. You stay in cabins round the back.
Really appreciated the spotless self-catering kitchen facilities in the room - everything I needed to have meals 'at home'. Also loved the hot, strong shower, clean towels and bath goodies...much appreciated. Great to have a big screen TV to watch the Olympics on! Easy-going and helpful manager/ owner.

Expected accommodations in a bed and breakfast. Room though clean was in a trailer behind the main house. No restaurant as pictured. Check in area was unexpected.

Affordable
It’s a bait and switch. The actual space is a double wide trailer that has different rooms. Guy was lying on couch in the office when we walked into check in. The whole place smelled of weed.

Everything!!!!! filthy messy sign in area should be condemed The most discusting place i have ever seen Bed mattress had a hole on 1 side soo uncomfortable. Train runs right behind you feels like an earthquake Never stay here

There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like
The harbour view was absolutely excellent the room was spacious very clean and extremely comfortable the manager was amazing showed me to my room pointed out the coffee machine let me know there was complimentary water and snacks in the room one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in I have stayed in rooms that were 400.00 a night that weren’t as comfortable as my room at harbour view definitely will stay again and will be recommending to friends and family

There was a train that came through at like 1 o'clock in the morning. The place where I paid was quite dirty and unclean and messy. I could hear every noise from the cabin next to mine.

It was adjacent to a railroad track. There was practically no water. What there was, dribbled out.

The room was very tiny. The air conditioning blew over us & there was crack’s around it. The floor listed to one side. The towels didn’t smell clean & they were dingy. Instant coffee isn’t drinkable.
There was no breakfast. They left us a snack the bed was ok

The water pressure from the bathroom sink and bathtub was terrible. The TV remote seemed to need new batteries because it was finicky. There was no breakfast included for the price.
The room was clean and spacious. The owners were polite. There was a fridge and microwave. The bed was ok (a little too soft for me though).

Close to the train tracks. A bit tired. Lots of miscellaneous equipment on the property.

This place was in such bad shape my parter did not even want to stay. We simply opened the door, looked at it and left right away. Not only was it really dated but everything was dirty, even the guy (manager/owner?) who took our money and gave the keys. We left and went to another place.

The pictures on-line were deceiving. The insides of the rooms were nicer than the outside. There is a lot of stuff/junk laying around and you are not able to enjoy the water view. I did not feel entirely safe and would not stay there again.
The staff was nice and accommodating. The room was clean, the bed was decent, and the Nescafe was a nice touch.
