You do have to remember that this is a Guesthouse not a hotel and that you are staying in someone's house. It is extremely clean and comfortable and quiet. Darlene, the owner, is delightful and bakes the most wonderful scones for breakfast with a variety of prepared fresh fruit and eggs, The bathrooms are clean and it was lovely to have a balcony to step out on in the en suite room. The no shoes in the house rule is sensible and she does provide slippers if needed.

Darlene is a lovely host. We enjoyed visiting with her at breakfast and a tour of her garden. The garden is fabulous - a lovely place to relax. Breakfast was great. We stayed in the twin room which was a bit crowded for the two of us and our luggage but comfortable and quiet.

Darline, the host is so amazing! She gives personal attention, fine chocolate, a lovely beautiful room with view to the lake and to the garden. The bed was so comfortable and also the bed sheets. Breakfast felt as if we are in a Palace. Everything so impressive, like royalty 💮 We highly recommend this place with wonderful Darline.

Very nice location with sea views from the street and the double sea view room. A short stroll to a small rocky beach. Perfectly located for the Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay ferry from Departure Bay, which is just a 14 minute drive away. Very nice gardens. Rooms are well equipped with personal touches like soap and shampoo, tissues and complimentary chocolates. Darlene is a wonderful host- friendly, interested, caring and kind. The breakfast was wonderful with a fruit platter, hot blueberry scones and croissants with scrambled egg. Excellent value for money, especially as the price includes breakfast.

Residential neighborhood, meaning you need the car to go and have dinner - but it is north America, after all… so nothing really to complain!

Cute little b&b in the north of Nanaimo. Darlene is an exceptional host who provides delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs in a croissant, combined with fresh fruit). Not luxurious, but everything you need from a b&b!

If both rooms had had showers. One was a tub only which wasn't possible for my mother to use. It was probably clear in the listing but I didn't realize it.

Host was very accommodating and kind to my blind 96 year old mother. We spent a bit of time chatting and enjoyed talking with her.

It is important to arrive within the given hours as our delayed arrival was clearly frowned upon by the host.

Imaginative, delicious and healthy breakfast taken at the communal dining table. Darlene even sat down and had hers with the guests too. It was all very homely and sociable.

Darlene is a very friendly hostess. The room is so cozy and clean and very lovingly furnished. We lacked nothing. Breakfast was warm English pastries with an egg on croissant and a large fruit platter. We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time.
