Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israelprobably didn’t asked our expectation, as, cleaning daily the room. close to the rail station. our room faced the rail station. trains with more than 100 road trail cars passed under our widows during all day long and night. the insulation is very bad. they could shift more customers to the other side.
very comfortable hotel.

GermanyRooms with city view extremely noisy due to train tracks in front of the hotel. Trains are operating throughout the whole night, so it‘s perfect for rail enthusiasts but all others should book rooms on the river side). In-room air conditioning system available which tends to be even noisier than the trains outside. Pool area currently closed due to renovation (however, that was mentioned at booking, so we were aware of that) Staff quite unmotivated.
Located close to the center of Kamloops with coffee shops, bars and restaurants, all reachable by foot. Clean and spacious room, modern equipment. Small kitchen area within the living room. Parking available for hotel guests.

United Statesalthough we had a room on the river/park side of the hotel, there are rooms on the other side which are exposed to the train tracks which can be noisy.
Off the main highway. Quiet hotel & clean hotel. newly renovated. Two restaurants to choose from with good food. parking was super convenient. Starbucks less than 300-feet away.

CanadaWhen we checked in only one staff member was checking in people and there was a long long line and it was frustrating having to wait for so long. Renting out the parkade to the public was a major issue. There was a hockey game and extremely low parking availability. When I’m paying $300 for 1 night, the least I expect is an on-site parking spot. I’d say most guests that night had to park on the street and there was a lot of unhappy guests including us. We also booked through booking . Com and there was zero memos that the pool was closed and that’s the only reason we picked this hotel, so we were majorly disappointed. Lastly, we asked if we could get some tea for our room, and they brought us a keireg tea pod but our room didn’t have a keireg so we couldn’t drink our tea.
The rooms were clean and nice, and hallways nice.

United KingdomThe train noise was a little off putting to n the middle of the night but the staff at check in warned me about it. It didn’t disturb me as much as the the lorry driver who parked his U-Haul truck outside and kept the engine running!
Staff were great. Room was very comfortable if a little noisy because of proximity to rail line. Wouldn’t put me off though. Restaurants on site were excellent as were the staff.

CanadaLocation is right beside train tracks and the trains run through all night. We got NO sleep. My bad, as I could have taken a closer look at a map before booking to recognize this. I was surprised to not have heard about it in the Google reviews, but then I found out they bribe people for 5 star ratings with a prize draw. In the room, the couch and ottomans looked like they fished them out of a bin at the Salvation Army, tattered, torn, and stained with a bleached spot on the couch. The bottom of the bathtub flexes down when you stand in it, which is unnerving. The moulding in the bathroom is damaged with paint chipping, with yellow grout in the shower. Generally dusty surfaces/ledges around the room, likely worse due to the train right outside, even though we are on the 5th floor. Windows and window sill track were filthy.
Location is convenient, if you have activities planned in town and you want walkable access, instead of easy on/off the highway. The room is spacious. Our interaction with the staff on check-in was pleasant, and the lobby looks nice and modern.
