Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGenuinely nothing bad to say. Kamloops itself and this hotel went so much further that what we had expected. If I have to be very very very picky to find something bad... the TV was set too high on the wall in the living room. That's it.
This was just a pitstop for us on a larger roadtrip. I picked a place in the middle of Banff and Vancouver and filtered to hotels that had suites. That was it, what we got was so much more. This was an amazing little place. The hotel was outstanding, the room was by far one of the best we had during our whole holiday and the location was amazing. The small park across the road was amazing. We were gutted we had to leave this place. We will be back for sure.

United StatesBathroom grout and caulk were a mess. Baseboard was not properly sealed and water damaged. Food outside rooms was not picked up entire time we were there, window and balcony glass were absolutely filthy-dirty, AC thermostat was broken and AC did not work properly, display randomly flashed 9, 12, 16, 17, 20, and 22 degrees.
Location across from park was perfect. We were on the river side and not the side with the train tracks. Had we been subnjected to train noise, I would have been really disappointed.

CanadaNothing - everything was great!
The room was so comfortable, had a great view of the park, andso nice that the window opened up! The location of the hotel is also super convenient. The staff were also very helpful and friendly - they gave my child a package of snacks upon check-in, which was unexpected but so appreciated!

CanadaThe "free" wifi was only good for a few hours and then would not work unless I agreed to receiving unsolicited promotional advertising. I refused. I wanted to see the restaurant menu so that I could pick up some food to bring back to my room. No hard copy of the menu was available and I was unable to access the QR code. I called front desk and was told to just call the restaurant and they would tell me what they had. Instead I went to the restaurant, Moxie, to be met by an ersatz "hostess" who was less than enthusiastic about my ordering takeout food. I asked if I could get a drink while I waited. She said " a server will take your drink order". I waited for 15 minutes and asked again. This time she told me to sit at one of the tables. The "hostess" asked what I wanted and I said a lime Margarita. My drink finally arrived and as I was halfway through it my dinner arrived, plated and ready to eat. I knew that if I said I wanted it to go it would have been cold by the time I got to my room so I did eat it alone in the restaurant. It was cold anyway. I was surprised at the price of the hotel to begin with. I did not need amenities but simply a nice clean comfortable bed for one night. The room was dated, not spotlessly clean and the television only had half the channels that were in the guide. I am very disappointed.
Bathroom was clean and well stocked

CanadaHotel operations inept at making sound decisions when we reported broken door in the room, our request was ignored when we asked that it be removed so that it doesn’t cause an injury. The next day one of the guest ended up with fractured foot due to malfunctioning/broken door.

CanadaMoxie restaurant was beyond terrible. It has been going down hill for a very long time. If your a paying guest don't pay for parking. I didn't know, paid 12.00 to park, only to find out it was complementary as a guest. There are no signs to indicate that.

AustraliaThe hotel is next to a train crossing which has freight trains stop across with crossing sirens going for hours in the middle of the night. The parking lot was full because of an event nearby I think. My card stopped working while trying to get in with my bags. And I also looked out the window to see 2 guys with a bag of tools trying to break into the toolboxes on a car.
The room was nice but that was about it.

CanadaToilet plugged, lamp had an electrical short in the cord, loveseat was only a foot high and has a deep dip in the middle- I struggled to sit on and get up from it. Bathroom light broken. Smart TV has hdmi input but NO sockets anywhere near it so if you like to use a fire stick or Rocku or other device, you're out of luck. Bedroom has lamps but NO plug access for chargers or a CPAP machine if needed. Heat control system is LOUD, neighbor very loud. Paid for late check-out and hung the "do not disturb" sign, yet housekeeping knocked repeatedly asking when I was leaving.
Double- booked our King room & upgraded us to King suite without us asking. Loved the balcony! Deep tub, nice pillows.
