Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I can’t think of anything
Amazing views, cozy rooms, great restaurant. The staff were so kind and engaging, I felt like I was at my mother’s house. It’s right on the bobosco trail so that was handy too.

Simple but with all the things we needed. New, clean, nice terrace, garden and surroundings. Quiet. Right by the bus station and on the walking tracks that take you through the beautiful valley. Parking behind the house. Nice breakfast and very good dinner. Generous and friendly staff. We had a very nice stay, wished we could stay longer!

Unfortunately the isolation between rooms is very poor, we have never experienced such a bad isolation; we could hear our neighbours from both neighbouring rooms so loudly as they would have been in the same room with us. So, a big minus for not having privacy at all.
The location is excellent, the staff is exceptional, the hotel is very clean and the food is fresh.

There are no screens on the windows in any place we stayed in Switzerland. It got a bit stuffy in the room because I was afraid to leave the door open all night in case bugs got in. Still, I would say the bugs were not as bad as I anticipated and the room came with a fly swatter.
The owner was so friendly and made us feel welcome. He answered all our questions, greeted us several times a day, and went the extra mile to make us feel like we were appreciated guests. The food was fabulous, and we were in the perfect location to reach all the hikes we wanted quickly and easily. It was very family friendly, but also perfect for our anniversary trip away from our kids.

You can hear everything from other rooms (walls are very thin).
Friendly staff, beautiful location, great food, comfortable and decent stay in very basic setting. We felt welcome in Familienhotel Campagna and we'll come back!

This is a hidden gem, the owner, staff, hotel, restaurant, room and location were fantastic!! We are so glad that we found this and Daniele Vergani is the best host you will ever meet, he takes great pride in making everything perfect for his guest!! My wife Adrienne and I highly recommend this truly unique and beautiful hotel/restaurant and location.

The in-house restaurant super! Great connection to hiking routes. Rooms are simple and to the point. They are not large but if you are going for a hiking/outdoor holiday, this place is great. Staff was very friendly! .

Hotel is very nice and modern. Staff is very nice and caring, we got a lot of useful informations about hikes and trips in the surroundings of the hotel. Breakfast was rich and tasty. We spent very nice time there, we spent 4 days there and it wasnt enough.

THe size of the room is quite small.
I liked the area, it is absolutely amazing. Also the host is very fiendly and gives helpful advises. The set up of the hotel is very nice, the food in the restaurant is delicious. The room is clean.

Die Zimmer waren etwas hellhörig.

Beds are a little firm
Amazing location in the heart of the valley. The bus stop is 50m away so great for exploring. The hotel has a good restaurant and the staff are all very friendly. We had a fantastic time.
