My stay at Bloom was comfortable and enjoyable due to its cleanness room and excellent location, near to the tram station and easily accessible. However, the absence of slippers was a minor inconvenience. With a simple addition like slippers, the hotel could enhance its guests' overall experience.

NetherlandsThe pillows were very uncomfortable. I had neck pain in the morning. Another problem I had was in the shower. The water was suddenly turning extremely hot, burning my skin.
The receptionist was very helpful and very nice. The hotel room was very clean and they also accepted us early earlier than the usual time. the location was great, and it was definitely value for money. They offered coffee and tea to us, which was so nice. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

United StatesThe room had an additional bunk bed above the main bed. this would be a cool feature for a couple traveling with a child. We found that we had to be extra careful to not hit our heads. (We almost succeeded.) The room was super clean, but a bit small for two people and our luggage.
The staff was wonderful. They were super friendly and helpful. They gave us cards that let us travel on the city trams as much as we liked. The hotel is a short, pleasant walk to the center.

TurkeyThere is no close city parking around the hotel. Thanks to staff they provided a parking RFID key from nearest parking house but it was a bit expensive and not so close considering luggages and baby car.
We really enjoy staying in Hotel Bloom. We requested a baby cabinet and it was already prepared in the property. So thank you for that. Cleanliness and distance of the city center was OK.

GermanyWiFi is free and was a good speed connection. However I was unable to use the WiFi for my intended purpose and had to resort to using a mobile hotspot to power my tablet from my phone. I like to watch Amazon Prime for which I am a paying subscriber in Germany. I'm not sure what the problem was (maybe the hotel's proxy settings or could be a Swiss thing) but I was unable to use my Prime account at all. It worked fine when I switched to my network hotspot of course. I assume that there would be other restrictions to other services too, not just that I encountered in Amazon. I doubt this is the fault of the hotel, could be a Swiss legalisation requirement, but it's something I've never encountered in an establishment before and I'm a frequent traveler. And I should add this is not a complaint, not did it impact my stay- is just an observation!
The reception personnel were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The gentleman who greeted me was very professional and knowledgeable and the lady on the desk in the morning was of the same calibre - extremely pleasant. Whilst settling the account upon checkout it was lovely to be informed that the chocolates and water which I had consumed in the room were complimentary. The room was more than adequate and suited to my needs. It was a "Triple" room, but I wouldn't have enjoyed sharing such a small space for more than a simple nights rest. For me alone it was perfect. The double bed was luxurious and I slept extremely well, felt very refreshed and restored in the morning. A coffee pod machine and tea bags were available to make a morning brew. A small fridge for essentials. Great TV which I had a quick flick through. Modern system interface with easy navigation. Vast amount of services available: television, radio, movies, internet, information etc. The bathroom was very modern and new, and the shower absolutely great. Towels were absolutely divine - big, white and fluffy as they should be! Despite the location there wasn't any noise disturbance, even on a Saturday night in central Basel. The hotel is sited virtually opposite the Messeplatz tramline, a very busy and prosperous area of Basel. You can get to anywhere in Basel from here and the main train station is just a few minutes away. Just around the corner is a high street full of shops, restaurants, bars etc (Clarastrase). From Messeplatz you can take Tram 8 to Weil am Rhein train station in Germany, just over the border. France is just a tram ride away too! Breakfast was available but I already had plans for meeting outside, so I didn't experience it. The breakfast room was in a separate area behind the reception. Next to the reception was a bar/coffee lounge and this looked very inviting.

United StatesIt was very hot during our stay and they did not have air conditioning. But as we found out this is normal for this area. A little explanation of how to raise the moterized blind and open the veranda door would have helped as all the explanations in the room were in German. The room was a bit small, but not a problem. (Having lots of luggage from a cruise and long vacation) They did offer us to store the luggage elsewhere, but it was not necessary.
We really liked our stay here. The location was safe and convenient. We were given passes and an explanation of how to use these for travel on the Trams and discounts for museums, tours, etc. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Fresh fruits, cheeses, and bakery goods to die for. Hot eggs and bacon were served too. And I forgot to mention the great cereals, juices, yogurt and many more too numerous to mention. The staff was excellant and helpful. Many restaurants within near walking distance. We were glad they provided a fan in our room. We would stay here again next trip to Basel.
