Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaA bit tricky to stop and getting there in particular after parking the car as the street and as many others in that region has no sidewalk.
Fantastic place and location with a beautiful steep staggered garden and a fantastic view towards Lago Di Maggiore and Isola Di Brisago. And then the breakfast spread, nicely done up homemade goodies by the host and Ticino cheese to be taken in the guest lounge with again 'the view'

New ZealandParking was a bit awkward on a parking lot close by down the narrow and busy lake road so please make sure with your torch or mobile light to be seen by the traffic at night.
The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The most stunning aspect of this property is how it's built flat into the mountain around the lake with three garden terraces above offering grand views over Lago Maggiore.

PolandThe only downside is the road from the bus stop - without pavement, but don't be scared - it is only a few meters and drivers are aware of that :)
The host is very kind and helpful. Knows a lot about local attractions and can recommend anything you can ask for. Rooms are clean, common room is spacey and packed with guides about region. Garden is awesome! The view is breathtaking, and you can freely eat delicious home-made breakfast in it! Can really recommend this place :)

SingaporeI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at bnb122, which is truly a home away from home - Dea always tries to go out of her way to help make my stay even more pleasant, including the most amazing homemade breakfasts I've had, and even kindly offering me a ride to the next town after missing the bus. Come with an open mind, try out everything offered at breakfast (as I did - you definitely won't be disappointed), and enjoy the garden terrace view overlooking the lake! Hope to be back in the near future soon for another stay :)

United KingdomParking is always difficult in this area. But the landlady was very helpful and accommodating. The property is also on the main road which can make walking a challenge.
The breakfast was superb. We had a wonderful welcome and the landlady gave excellent recommendations for dinner. The property is wonderfully and quirkily decorated. The beautiful garden has fantastic views over the lake. I'd recommend this location to all.

United Kingdom- The pillows were really bad. We only had one each and it had no support at all. It’s a shame because the bed itself was comfortable. - Only one bus an hour into Ascona or Locarno.

SwitzerlandThank you so much Dea for everything! I felt like home at bnb122, it was comfortable and clean, Dea was so friendly and cares really good for her guests. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and jam and a lot of extras. And having breakfast in the beautiful small garden with view to the lake is fantastic. I had only to get used to the road under the house, but it is okay.

Turkey(1) The room was right below the roof so the ceiling was not straight. (2) The house (because it is wood and old) made a lot of noise. We could hear the guest next door even though she was not really doing anything. And there were some scratching sounds from bugs on the roof. (3) The airconditioning has an automatic system that turns itself on and off. We wished the system would turn itself on more often.
The breakfast was very authentic. We loved the selection that was given, very delicious. The host, Dea, was very helpful and cute. The wild-garden and the view was breath-taking. The living room had many couches and places to sit. The front balcony was very cozy. We had a great time even watching the rain.

GermanyI brought my 2 kg dog with me, even though it was forbidden (I didn't check beforehand). In the morning, she told me I could keep the dog outside, which was difficult for such a small dog. There was a negative aura, perhaps due to all the Buddhism she practiced at her BandBreakfast Hotel. The room was in need of renovation and had a small window.I only had one light blanket, and it was cold. Additionally, we had to share the bathroom with another room.
The view and the breakfast. We didn’t pay for the parking it was a gift from the house(even if she didn’t say something about it the day before) parking was 300 meters away from the House. Difficult to park cause I had to squeeze my car.

Francevery close to the main road which made it noisey ( not explained in the advertisemrnt) A little bit somewhat antiquiated feel, with very old type nonEU plug sockets. Modern EU plugs with an earth pin dont fit in the wall sockets. which is an annoyance. quite pricey for what you get considering the breakfast, no hot food or scrambled eggs offered etc. Air con is intermittent with very weird times ie 1800 2000 / 2200 0000 / 0200 0400 etc. so if you want the air con on all night you can't and you have to get up every 2 hours to switcch it on. you have to pay 5€ per day for parking, and its not on site you have to walk on a road with no pavement for 250m to get to your car, not ideal when it's dark. for 165€ inc parking and city tax makes it an overly expensive stay.
the view was nice amd the garden was wildly preety with a nice view. The afternoon homemade cake and tea was a nice touch.
