Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanThe locker is too small for my luggage. The light in the shower turns off when you are taking shower, you need to open the door slightly to make it bright again. If someone's taking shower and you are next to there, your feet might get wet.
Nice place to stay. You can have private space in the capsule. I slept very well there. The design of the shower room is really nice and convenience.

United KingdomLess noise proof than expected; more of a hostel with more privacy than a true capsule hotel. Also, the Lucerne Card (which gives free transportation around the city and automatically comes with the hotel) wasn't emailed to me directly; I had to email and ask but very promptly received it after doing so.
Excellent location, easy check in, very self-supported, very clean and well maintained.

AustraliaLoved this place. Great location and the pods were so spacious and just perfect. Felt safe and secure and loved how the pods locked. The lighting and shelf in the pods was also great. Could keep valuables or things inside without feeling like you’re sleeping on top of your things. Nice and quiet and everyone was very respectful. Also great kitchen and table to eat at and meet new friends.

NetherlandsI had problem to checkin because the code was not sent to my email. it took 10 minutes to see it in the email, so I have to wait outside the door without any staff.
I like privacy, completely closed in my bed. the area is clean. after downloading the app then unlock and lock the door become easier.

AustraliaShower and toilet cubicles are small but efficient. Can be a challenge to get dressed after showering as the floor is wet, even with the shower curtain fully closed. Pods are not soundproof, but quiet enough, unless you have a noisy neighbour (mine liked to slam his pod door!), but they do provide earplugs. The lockers are tiny! Sufficient for a small backpack only! Our cabin sized pull along with rigid sides would not fit in at any angle, yet it's not large (think Ryan Air carry on size to visualise).
Clean comfortable pods, safe and secure with individual PIN code provided. Staff quick to respond to messages but not actually on site, so didn't encounter any in person.

MalaysiaI’ve booked 2 capsule bed, but when the time of check in only received one passcode. Couldn’t open the capsule by that time. Was quite anxious cause there is no staff or any assistance there, I do not have local phone number to call the helpline as well. 15 mins later only I received another passcode for my capsule.
Convenient. Received the passcode a day before arrival. Enter passcode at the main entrance and get up to the lift, check in at the iPad just by other hotel before get in, to get another passcode for hotel entrance, room and my private capsule. Overall quality of the hotel is great ! Have a clean equipped kitchen as well. Provided some fruits in the morning as well for customers. Lovely !

Germany* I didn't like that the AC was running all the time creating the cold and noise. In the capsule it wasn't as cold as in the general area, but still I had to wear a sweatshirt to feel warm even under the blanket. * Another thing is that the hidden ventilation system in the capsule isn't quiet enough for my sensitive sleep so I had to wear the earplugs to fall asleep properly. * I also didn't like the fact the the shower was in the same cabin as the toilet, so basically you have the toilet basin and a meter away is the shower surface. The water flows everywhere in a single space and there's even a hole between cabins and other people see your water flowing.
* I liked to have an insulated capsule without distractions. * It's also a slick and modern hotel/hostel that feels fresh, smart and comfortable to use. * I liked the kitchen facilities with fridge, stove, coffe machine (2.5 CHF for a cup) and cuttlery. * I liked the system of smart locks on every door that you could unlock either with a smartphone app or with a code.

SingaporeThe elevator to the capsule hotel was out of order, and so I had to walk up the stairs to level 5. Shared Bathroom was tiny compared to their Alphine Gardens. Motion sensors will shut off the lights in the bathroom. I suggest guests to bring a torchlight with you when you need to take a dump at night.
Hotel is within walking distance to Lucerne main station and opposite a self-service laundromat.

New ZealandThe lounge/kitchen space is shared with co-working space and as a result feels very much like a office coffee room that is not very comfortable to sit in for long time.
The capsules were very comfortable and well ventilated. The design with art and mirror made it feel very spacious. Also did a fairly good job at blocking noise. Some of the best capsules I have stayed in! :) Shared kitchen has fridge, microwave, and hot water (no oven/cook top)

United StatesThey really force you to use their app for the key instead of the code but for some reason it never worked for my bed. I had to keep leaning over for awhile for it to work and had to use the code anyway. There’s 5 security stops it’s way too many. Makes me scared of the area if you need that many. Also the sound of people closing their bed door is loud but unavoidable.
I did like the fact that it felt clean in the bed. And I really did like that there’s a lock on the bed so I didn’t have to worry too much about locking up my bags. I could just lock it in my bed. I also like that there was another bathroom outside of the room, which was sometimes needed as a group of 10 men came at once and took over the bathroom that only has three stalls. The theme in the bed is very cute as well. I have not seen that before. Also plenty of places to charge your things, which was a big deal for me.
