Effortless check-in. Property was exactly as described on booking.com. Amazing view over the Adelboden valley.

We had been given a wrong code for the check in, and as there was no staff around had to call around to get the correct code for the keys. I had written I need a parking, on the special request box when I made the reservation, but when I arrived, no parking space was reserved for me. Was a bit of a hassle to find somewhere to park.

The trash was not emptied after the previous guest in our room and we found hairs in the bathroom from the previous guests.

Check in was confusing. Nobody at front desk and small signage was not noticeable. Big sign on front door said to go around back to ski shop. Lobby was dark and nobody in there so we went around back to ski shop. Ski shop was dark and there were no signs there. Went back to front desk and found small sign that said there was no reception at the hotel and to check my email for check-in instructions. I was able to find that but it took us 15 minutes of looking around first. A better sign on the front door would have fixed all that.

The view was nice. higher floor would have been much better as we were obstructed by trees.

After reading lots of negative reviews about this hotel we were a bit concerned, but the hotel is just regular. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about either. Clean, spacious room with a balcony, bathroom with soap and shower gel, kettle with cups, a couple of instant coffee sachets and tea bags, small fridge. Absolutely fine for an overnight and even a longer stay. We wouldn't mind coming back!

We went off season and the hotel was quite empty so the atmosphere was a little strange without a reception. However getting your key via a lock box plus code was good. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony, south facing room, was lovely. We had a good sized balcony for two, pleasant to sit on for lunch/apero. Breakfast buffer was very good with friendly staff.

They should include the local tourist tax directly in the rate paid upfront. Paying it afterwards is a bit cumbersome and "out of date"

When we arrived the room had only been set up for 1 person despite my booking saying 2 people and therefore due to arriving late we only had one pillow and one duvet. No particular facilities available - although it says restaurant this was not open.

The lady who cleaned the room was very helpful.

A little difficult to find the room due to the outlay of the hotel. Watch out for the city tax payment. As the hotel is self check in you need to pay the tax after you check out via an online payment platform. This is an awkward way of paying the tax.

Good location close to centre of Adelboden. Easy check in (self check in).

Its the second time we stay here 3 years ago and nothing is improved. Beds are uncomfortable and sheets were stinky. We chose here again because of the price.

Nothing....its a scam

Its a scam. Not a hotel but shared room. Instructions not clear. Expensive price. No safety. Clean every 7 days..so not good at all. Smell hard because people before. Doesnt worth the trip..very unhappy. ... Last email have to pay more...really not good 175 chf for a shared room :(((

There was a little kitchen in the room but not a single plate or cup. There was instant coffee available and an electric kettle but, without cups, we couldn’t use it. Two cups and a glass would have been excellent.

The views from the balcony were breathtaking.

Dirty Cat poop on the balcony Shower drain was partially blocked Soap dispenser broken Bed sheets had holes The ambience is a bit creepy without the staff and dark corridors. I ended up here because other places where fully booked and for the price (>140chf), i was expecting much higher standards.

The restaurant is always close. In my stated time I went to the restaurant to take my breakfast but were closed, I called to the receptionist phone number but nobody answered. Second point, twice the housekeeper open my door even if I was inside, they never knocked.

If you want to stay in Adelboden is a good place!
