Great location! Staff very helpful with transportation questions. We were able to check in early which was wonderful since we just arrived from the US. Breakfast was fabulous and even included a mimosa!

I wish the electrical outlets were more modernized, perhaps with universal power outlets and even USB outlets. Its pretty common in many hotels I have stayed in, even budget hotels.

The location is great. I was able to pop out and onto the tram right away. There was also a timetable in the lobby to help with planning.

The location is excellent a stone's throw from the Railway Station. Walking distance from the Museums and the Old Town as well. I particularly liked the informal entrance with the bar and tables to have small meals at AND the bonus of a great pianist from 5 pm. Great atmosphere. I was less impressed with the breakfast - the buffet was too spread out. No machine can replace properly made hot, boiled tea served in a teapot.

The marble entrancehal has lost its shine. The furniture in the room was not particularely comfortable. The heating was centrally regulated . Therefore it was far too hot at night. Room with no view. The superfluous irritating background music in the breakfastroom.

Comfy bed, nice spacious bathroom with tub, Windows that could be opened, Excellent breakfast. Rich variety of quality products. The well trained courteous staffmembers.The location ; 2 minute walk from the raylwaystation. The free Basel pass.

The room was slightly tired, some areas in the bedroom could have done with some touching up of paintwork and in the bathroom there were a couple of areas that could have done with resealing.

The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the location was extremely convenient.

Very convenient location and friendly staff! You get a visitor card that provides free transportation in town and discounts for museums and other attractions. Although it’s close to the train station, it was quiet in the room.

The rooms are not sufficiently sound proofed from the noise in the street - you can hear people speaking in the street, as well as the trams and local city noise.

The hotel and rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and located next to the BASEL SBB Train station with a tram stop and links to the airport in front. There was a pianist playing a grand piano in the bar area for much of the afternoon and early evening, which was very nice. Breakfast was OK and dinner was to a good standard.

My second or third time here and I'm still happy with it. Even though is more expensive than the others around it, it's worth paying the extra for the nice experience. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the room was perfect for me. A little noisy from the trams outside (I was on the first floor) but I like the noise of the city so it didn't bother me at all.

Wonderful hotel, very well placed, near the train station and Centre of the city. Nice staff, comfortable beds, warm room and great view from the window. And a very tasty, various breakfast. We have really enjoyed the stay and would recommend to other people.
