Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room and space was adequate for what we needed and the staff and location was great! The only downside the sofa bed mattress needed a topper as you could feel all the springs through the mattress making sleep a little hard. This was the only issue.

Tea and coffee facilities were provided but no milk. I purchased some milk and kept this in the fridge to use. Not really an issue, but as I am from the UK tea is a priority! Before arriving had a scam What's App message about payment being declined, which looked legitimate as it contained specific booking information. I called the hotel and was advised to ignore the message and report as spam, they were aware of an issue with bookings via booking.com. I didn't receive an e-mail or message from the hotel to say how my booking data was obtained or any information advising to ignore the message. If I hadn't had called, I wouldn't have known to ignore.
Bus and Tram routes close to hotel, used as a base to explore Geneva. On checking in we were sent our transport cards via e-mail to allow us to use the public transport (zone 10) for free. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfy beds!

The staff was very helpful. However, the first room we were given smelled very strongly of cigarettes. After we complained we were moved to another room, which didn’t have that odor.

I didn't understand why it was so hard to organize a room switch to a quieter room, considering i was staying for 3 weeks. They twice in a row said it would not be possible based on availability. Why put someone who is there for 3 weeks in a 1st floor room on a busy street? Was quite loud. But then by the time they said I could move, it was halfway through and I didn't want to move rooms. Maybe all a miscommunication/misunderstanding, I don't know.
The hotel has a nice little gym, nice ambience, good location, good breakfast.

The card key didn’t work properly. I had to go to the reception on several occasions to have the problem fixed. The staff is ok but not extremely nice. While I was doing the check in, the person was watching a movie on their mobile phone.
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

The only issue we had was asking for the transport card that wasn’t given to us until one day before we left which was not helpful as we wanted the transport card for the trip from the airport. As we didn’t get this we ended up have to pay 40 franc to get to the hotel.
Great hotel, very clean, location is close to the city centre. Staff always available and were extremely friendly. They even got our room ready early which we really appreciated.

Isn’t in the city but is a short tram ride away from the city. Also very easy to get to the airport by bus.

you can hear anything going on in other rooms, all day and night long.

Elevator was small and not recommend to use, I didn't understand whether it is safe to use or not.
For November visit, the heating of the room was perfect. The Ethiopian guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom drains smelt like rotton eggs and I could hear the traffic at night on the 3rd floor
