Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I have no complaints about this hotel at all. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the elevator—it’s a bit too small.
The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options to choose from. My vegetarian spouse absolutely enjoyed it as well. I was traveling with a toddler at the time, and our stay was completely hassle-free. The location is excellent and we could see Mount Pilatus and other stunning mountains right from our balcony.

They are clearly trying to economize. No phone in room not body lotion No trolley to carry baggage but helpful staff
Excellent helpful staff in all departments. Reception helped with luggage, provided extra heater in room, brought kettle, pillows etc with a cheerful disposition Large quiet dark rooms Bathroom ok Breakfast good with all the usual plus oatmilk and a pleasant helpful breakfast lady Parking across the street in their own lot

The location is a little bit far from the downtown. It takes about 20 minutes to get the downtown.The bus arrives about every 30 minutes, so you need to pay attention to the schedule.
The room is clean with a nice space. The hotel offers a bottle of water for free everyday. The room I booked has a balcony. The staff is nice and helpful. Besides, there is a parking lot which is great for road trip.

Nothing to dislike
On site restaurant the food and staff were very good. Menu was limiting to us not liking veal but that is personal. Breakfast very good.

A little outdated and the rugs in hallways.
My husband and I stayed 3 nights here. Good location with bus transportation across the street, we rented a vehicle so free parking is a must & this hotel had exceptional breakfast. Great amenities and a restaurant right downstairs. Employees were very helpful and professional.

We stayed at Hotel Felmis for 6 nights in September. Everything was wonderful: the room , food (Breakfast was included), location and the people of course . Patrick and the staff were very friendly and helpful, staff spoke good English for us and always with a smile. Also, there was a nice view to Mt. Pilatus from our room. Finally, it’s a great hotel for staying !!!

The reception is only open until 20:00, and if you arrive later you need to inform the hotel in advance to receive a code that will allow you to take the key out of a box located at the entrance of the hotel. The hotel does not have a pool, spa, or gym.
A small and pleasant hotel located in a pastoral village called: Horw, adjacent to Lucerne, less than fifteen minutes drive away. For those who do not have a car, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel entrance that goes to Lucerne's main station and is free for hotel guests. For car owners, the hotel offers free parking. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are relatively small, but well equipped, clean and comfortable. The shower and bathroom are spacious, and the beds in the room are comfortable. The breakfast is very good and varied. All in all, this is a very good value for the price.

If I had to nitpick, the bedrooms and main hotel spaces were very overheated. We tried turning down the thermostat in our room, but to no avail. Kept waking up in a pile of sweat. Only thing that helped was keeping the windows open. They would also run out of croissants before 9 am every day. They were obviously a popular items and Felmis should have responded by ordering more croissants. We were twice disappointed during our three day stay.
Spotless room, comfortable bed, staff that went above and beyond, in-room fridge, wonderful included hotel breakfast (great selections), and delicious onsite restaurant with great food and service. Plus the FREE bus tickets to downtown Lucerne and back.

During our second visit to the restaurant there was a party of people whom the Manager obviously knew + was very attentive to. He would attend to other tables as well but this appeared very tokenistic - he came to our table twice + asked if we needed anything after our dinner? We asked for more drinks but he never brought them. We gave up asking in the end + decided to go elsewhere.
We were in Room 14 on the first floor. It is a corner room at the front of the hotel with a large balcony at the side. We didn't hear any road noise. The room was clean & spacious with a large, comfy bed, 2 comfy chairs + table. The shower was powerful. There was a safe + a fridge. We didn't use the coffee machine as it was pods. Air con worked very well. Breakfast was buffet style & all fresh. Staff were very friendly & quick to refill any items. We ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings. The food was very good, fresh + homemade. Restaurant staff on the first occasion were friendly & attentive. Plenty of parking across the road but bus stop is directly across the road and No. 21 goes to Lucerne every 30 minutes.
