Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The restaurant food was no longer any good. The cook changed recently and the food was much better before. Dodgy seafood, tired bored meat. Undercooked uninteresting veggies, Maggie-type instant sauce. Felt slightly ill. Really disappointed because of my previous good experiences I was looking forward to eating here but never again. Sorry but you need to hear it.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms.

A pleasant change to have breakfast served and not just left out as a buffet. Despite mainly being a ‘town for those in transit’ the Forni still had a vibe from the locals and from those there to experience the historic mountain passes.

It is with heavy heart that I have to resort to this means by way of complaint against the hotel and Booking.com….. I was overcharged by some 30 odd CHf for my stay! The hotel have eventually accepted their mistake after correspondence with them and the Booking site…. They offered to pay but some two months on I am still waiting. Booking.com have closed the complaint as resolved and all correspondence with the hotel and them have been cleared from the app…. It will be interesting to see if this is published…. Other than that I would have rated the hotel as very good….

We were eating in the restaurant in the evening. They left the door open, which made it cold and uncomfortable.

Hotel Forni is close to the train station and was an ideal base for our hike. It was clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was good. I have come here before and can recommend it.

No parking for our motorcycle, we had to park in a designated space in an open public car park.

- the staff of the Hotel is very friendly and helpful, really guests oriented - in the Hotel is a restaurant integrated and for additional stuff, a store is close beside and also a pizzeria is very close - the hotel room was big and clean, the equipment is very usual and easy - the food in the Hotel was good - parking spaces are available, even limited - we have had a room to the backside of the Hotel, it was very silent (a front room is looking to the rail station of Ariolo) - the view from the Hotel is great

We ate at the restaurant which had good reviews. Unfortunately, our food was not cooked properly and service was not efficient. Instead of offering us free desserts or even coffee, we got a 10% voucher for a next time that will not happen.
Clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed the spa as well, which was also very clean.

Can’t think of anything.
Location was excellent - just opposite the train station - as we were on foot. Breakfast was very good. Complimentary coffee in the rooms very welcome. Staff very helpful. Didn’t have a Swiss adaptor for plug but they gave me one.

Room was a bit noisy however this is expected when you stay close to the train station.

Checkin at 19:00 was difficult and slow because of single person serving the restaurant and the hotel.
Quick acces to the central road to Milan. Nice and clean city.

The bed pillows were a bit too thin so I had to request a second pillow for my room which the staff accommodated.
Well located near the train and bus station. Clean rooms and good restaurant!

Given I'm 2 meter, the situation of the bed was not ideal. It was probably less than 2 meter in between wall and heater
