Room too small than what it appeared in the picture. The room had no lock, and the safety locker could not fit in the cabin trolley - it felt unsafe to just leave the luggage in a public shared room. Communal kitchen too small and barely fits in a person.

The location was fantastic. It is in the city center and walkable to train station but you can take the train to the hostel. The staff were really helpful. Got common kitchen, fridge, kettle and common room.

There is absolutely no one available to help you. There is only one woman who looks down on people. Upon arrival, she told me about the pin code that needs to be entered at night. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn’t access the pin code I had saved, and I was unable to enter the hostel at 12am. I tried reaching out to all three phone numbers written at the entrance using every method possible, including messaging and calling through WhatsApp, Booking and i downloaded Viber in that time because i thought maybe they can see on this app. But I received no response. I ended up waiting outside for 2.5 hours, alone as a young woman, feeling unsafe. I had to ask random strangers for help, encountering unpleasant people in the process. At first, I didn’t even dare ring the doorbell for fear of waking up other guests, but eventually, I had no choice but to bang on the door in desperation. After all this, the woman who claims to be the owner failed to understand my distress and instead blamed me for the situation. I absolutely do not recommend this place. If the rules are so strict, she should ensure that all customers receive a written message with everything they need, including the pin code. Telling tired customers a couple of rules in a whisper after a long journey and then going to sleep herself, with no one managing the hostel after midnight, is simply unacceptable. If she refuses to take responsibility for anything, she should at least hire a few staff members. If you want to pay money to be treated horribly, this is the place for you. Or if you’re studying about narcissistic, selfish, and unpleasant people, you’ll be in the right place too. The name is friendly but there is no one friendly in this hostel. Im glad to stay not longer. It was a nightmare. By the way, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work.

There's no lift facilities in this hostel. You have to climb up the steep staircase to go upstairs. It's probably not really suitable for a person with reduced mobility functions and elderly.

The staff is so helpful and friendly and welcoming too! I love this hostel location, its complete facilities and cleanliness (it's fragrant, too, if you enter the shower room). It is located in the city centre where you can explore Zurich's attractions, including Christmas markets.

When I booked my room there were three options available, a six person dorm, four, and three. I opted for slightly more peace and paid for a four person dorm. I arrived, got told about all the rules they had, and when I returned from my night out, I found that an extra fifth person had been put in our room at the foot of my bed on a sofa. This person also assaulted me twice during the night due to my snoring. So by adding a 5th person, this wasn't what I paid for, and they disturbed me/attacked me. I confronted the staff the next day and they blamed it on being busy, despite the fact it nullifies what I paid for by adding an extra person, and when I asked to speak to a superior they just told me they were on holiday. All round facilities are pretty average too.

Convenient Location at the heart of old town. Beautifully decorated entrance, stairs, reception area, dorms room, kitchen, and sitting area at the top floor with views of the town. Strong Wifi. Good value for money, given the fact Zurich is a v expensive city. The best treat was the free tea bags with different flavours, much needed during cold or rainy days, which I experienced during my stay :)

The woman running the place is rude and speaks little English. The room was located in a 5th floor without elevator. After checking out, at an inconvenient hour (10h), you are not allowed to stay in the whole hostel; not even in the common areas! So at 10am you will be kicked out into the street. They charge you 5 CHF per person for storing your luggage until you check-in, or after you check-out. There are only 2 bathrooms for the entire place, 5 floors with many many beds; not enough at all.

I arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning. I received a friendly greeting, despite it being quite late. The room was comfortable and I had all I needed. The bathroom was of a high standard. Very clean. The property was an easy walk to everything, including the station.

Limited toilet and shower facilities for the number of guests. When I arrived the room was unbearably hot so had to open windows. I felt a bit uneasy about the high quantity of extension cords in use and they weren't compatible with my UK adapter plug, but I found a socket for it on the top floor.

The cheapest place to stay near the centre of Zurich. The mattress and pillow were comfy and wifi, linen and towels included. Keypad entry system at street level. Kitchen, microwave, fridge available. Living room on top floor.

They don’t have nearly enough bathrooms for the amount of people they are housing. The kitchen is very cramped. Can only really have one person in there at a time.

I don't know if I'd call it a youth hostel. Don't expect parties or included tours, events or pub crawl. It's more suited for travelling people who just need a place to rest and can't affors the expensive hotels in Zurich.

Location was great. Beda are comfy and they have an awesome terrace.

First thing is there's no lift so if you are suffering from upstairs its gonna be hard for you. Second the kitchen is not allow to cock only there's a microwave to heat the things. Third there's no lockers.

Everything is great from location to the building design and decoration. Clean and the room has view to the square and church.
