The location was okay, but felt a bit uncomfy as a solo female traveller. The rooms were a bit dated compared to the reception and the beds were noisy but they had a decent amount of space. Wasn’t a place to go and meet people/make friends

The entry way/reception and fact (cold)breakfast is included was good. The storage for your stuff was in the hallway, which was good to keep the room quiet but unfortunately there are no change rooms, only the bathroom to go into (unless you go back into the room)

I rarely write comments about places I've stayed but this time I need to share my opinion. It was one of my worst experiences in hostels ever. The rooms and bathrooms were not cleaned regularly (I slept in 6-bed room), water in sinks very cold (showers were better but the temperature of water was changing from cold to hot constantly), the kitchenette in terrible conditions and disgusting (dirty and smelling, with some old food in drawers, lacking basic equipment, weird system with locked fridge etc.), beds not comfy and breakfast with very limited choice of food plus the place where it was served was really chilly. At the arrival you are given bed sheets you need to put on and take off yourself at the departure. For the towels you pay extra. I know it's a hostel, not a 5 stars hotel, but even in simple places you can have good experience and comfortable stay. Unfortunately this was not the case...

It was quite burdensome that the dorm room was shared between eight men (Room 84), who also had to share a single male toilet and shower. The hot water in the shower was sporadic, the water would only work for 20-30 seconds at a stretch before it had to be restarted, and it did not make sense that I needed the key to unlock the bathroom door each time. Finally, the breakfast everyday was the same with no changes, which was quite disappointing.

The location of the hostel is very ideal and the staff are very cordial.

You receive linen during check-in and you need to make your bed yourself, the locks are kind of loud so if you have light sleep it might be a little problem in shared rooms, paying extra for towel is ridiculous, it should be included.

Nice place for short stay like 1/2 nights but for longer it might became inconvenient, check-in and check out is really fast and you can get every information that you might need at the front desk. Tasty breakfast with a lot of options. It was really clean in the rooms and bathrooms.

Took over 30 minutes to check in even though there were only two people ahead of us. There was only staff behind the desk who spent ages chatting with the first person on unrelated matters. There was other staff around, but no one helped speed the process up.

Kitchen at the hostel could accommodate only 4-5 people at a time which was inconvenient considering the number of guests at the hostel. I happen to interact with 3 front desk receptionist during my stay. I found them all extremely rude and discourteous. I did not receive any information during my check in, I needed to ask for every little thing such as : where is the kitchen, where is the washroom, which floor is my room, what is the check out time?? etc. I am not sure if everyone has similar experience here or it could be that the people at the hostel are racist.

The only minus for me - the beds have no curtains. I had to use a face mask to sleep, since the light from the corridor was lighting my face every time someone opened the door.

Very well organised hostel! lots of space, spacious lockers outside of rooms. Card system to access any part of the hostel, gives a lot of sense of security. Big restaurant where you can work/study. Nice breakfast, though mostly with sweet things

There is no elevator to reach the 2nd floor in the new block. It only reaches B/F, G/F & 1/F.

U'll receive a free Geneva Transportation card by email before u check-in. From Geneva airport, it took 15mins for tram & 5mins walking with a backpack. Enough room spaces for 6 ladies with a private toilet.and bath. Comfortable bed. Facilities are clean. There's an individual locker inside the room. Kitchen is well equipped with all cooking tools. The fridge with many small boxes with lock. U can bortow a box to store yr own food with a deposit Chf30. Hostel staff is helpful.

It feels impersonal because it is so large. There was a very big group of teenagers when I stayed- to share the vibe. You have to go thru a turn style to get to the restaurant area. Too large for a sense of traveler community for me. But it is clean and safe and those are most important to me.

This is a very large and well organized hostel. High level of security- key access only to all indoor common rooms. This could be annoying (there was no toilet I had access to near the nice reading area) but I value security over convenience. The common areas were pleasant tho with it being so large it was easier to meet people in the room. Large locker space with key card access (tho in the hallway not the room). Nice showers with plenty of toilets.

Lots of mixing of space between genders . If you aren’t comfortable walking past men in corridors on the way to the bathroom etc it may be a difficult place to stay. The floors in the dormitory room were incredibly loud and creaky floorboards. Some rugs could help to make the space more practical. The check in time was very late in the day at 3pm and is inflexible if you arrive early (as I did at 6am) and had to wait a full 8 hours after arriving in the city before I could access a bed or shower. After your long journey you will also be making the bed yourself before you can finally rest.
