SwitzerlandUnable to keep the window open at night, which made the room feel stuffy. The interior design is very dated and could use a refresh. The towels showed signs of wear and could be replaced with new ones. Cleanliness needs more attention, as we found a dirty glass in the bathroom.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room size was adequate for a family of four, with comfortable beds. The bathroom is functional, and there's sufficient storage space for belongings.

United KingdomI know Switzerland is expensive but this hotel is not great value for money. The decor is dated and furniture in the room is pretty tired. The carpet in the room that allows pets was quite dirty. No provision of any teas or coffees in the room although the host offered to bring some to us at check-in.
The room was large and warm. The hotel is very easy to reach from the motorway and conveniently located just outside the Gotthard Tunnel. The town is very quiet but nice. Breakfast table was well stocked.

LuxembourgWe stayed for one night on the way to Italy. The hotel is basic but very clean and the beds are very comfortable, the location is quiet so we had good sleep. The owner is very nice and he arranged a late check-in for us. The hotel is on the expensive side but not for Switzerland, everything else around was double the price.

Perfect location for trains and hikes. Nice old house. The owner was helpful with directions for hikes.

United KingdomIt actually wasn't not to like. Rather concerning. We arrived to breakfast at 7.30, along with a couple of skiers. To a closed restaurant area. We tried calling/messaging and using the front doorbell to contact him, all to no avail. The skiers were on a time scale and were being collected by a pre paid taxi, and left without breakfast. We prepared to leave, and did so at about 8.15-8.30, similarly leaving without a breakfast. We left, and subsequently got lost. Coming back past the hotel, as we were told by a local at Andermatt, we called in; as we had to pass by it en route. I stopped by, and was greeted by a staff member initially, and then the owner. he had a bad night and was unable to open the breakfast area as he would have wanted to, due to illness. His colleauge gave us a few bits for the journey and asked us if we wanted a drink, or indeed food. We declined, as we needed to press on. They couldn't have been more accommodating in adversity.
The owner! Although this was a double edged sword. He told us all we needed to know upon arrival. Explaining in person how to use everything in the room, including the connection to the wi-fi. Even bringing us easter eggs. Then we asked about our next destination, and we agreed that he would let us know at breakfast. He told us where to eat for the evening, and local beauty site locations.

Staff were amazing, very accommodating, kind and helpful. We were recommended to a nearby restaurant for dinner and bought complimentary snacks on arrival to our room. The included breakfast every morning was fantastic, it filled us up for a morning on the slopes at Andermatt Ski resort. This quaint little hotel was everything we needed, the views from our room were beautiful. Bathroom very clean and spacious. Beds very comfy. We felt very at home with the decor, comfort and hospitality.
