Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Parking was a hassle as it is not clearly marked where it is. We had an end room on the first floor next to the common terrace and hotel employees constantly smoked out there with the nasty smell stinking up our room.

The only drawback from location is location itself. You are on the main street. We were on the first floor (one above street level). People pass, cars pass, there will be noise at night. We just had earplugs and slept really well. But if you need to open the window to sleep at night, there will be noise.
We were assigned room 107, which is super large, facing the street and has a huge corner balcony facing the mini golf and the superb Mountains of Grindelwald. We enjoyed many hours sitting in that balcony after our day was finished. The super nice staff accommodated us super early, as I needed to work on our arrival date. Thank you!. WIFI was great. Staff was super friendly, especially Kimberly! all of them accommodating to our needs and asking questions as we needed. Location of the hotel is great, just 5 minutes to the train station, and 2 minutes to First station. The view, magnificent, you are in the middle of the action, with many shops and restaurants to choose from, even a store just downstairs. the hotel provides you with a card that allows you to travel for free in the Grindelwald buses (we did not use it). The continental breakfast was good and had good variety. You also can request for warm food for a fee. We definitely want to go back and would consider staying at the same place again.

it was a puddle in the middle of the room, the floor was wet! but i am fine with this, I need just a short stay before going to trail running camp

There are many shops and restaurants nearby, and is close to the bus stop and train station (which is within walking distance). The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly.

Pillows were a little hard for me and the plug points were at the bottom so was abit difficult to charge things. However, this can be resolved with an extention plug.
Beautiful scenery from our room. Breakfast was nice and sufficient. Reception staff and staff serving breakfast were friendly and approachable. Overall, had a wonderstay stay and Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Grindelwald.

It will be a good thing if breakfast is already included . They have breakfast in the hotel for 30 CHF per person and for a family of three that’s already expensive.
The hotel is in the centre of Grindelwald and it is near to train station and there is also a bus stop in front of the hotel which we find very convenient. The room is very clean and spacious.

Bed is creaky and pillows are hard to sleep on.
Perfect location, very close to Grindelwald First terminal. Grindelwald Banhof is 5 mins by walk. bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Migros grocery is next door. Several restaurants and breakfast places nearby
