Breakfast was repeated on all 4 days. Rooms are not extremely small. Beds were not comfortable. Extremely congested rooms. You can hear the noise and voices of people staying in other rooms.

I noticed the reviews on this place were 50/50 so I was nervous about it, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. I think this place is fine for a short stay, if you're trying to save money in expensive Switzerland, this place is fine and does the job. I had a lovely little balcony and the room was a decent size. Bed was ok in comfort, not the greatest but not the worst. Don't get me wrong, the bathrooms could do with some renovations as it looks like they haven't been updated since the 80's but it was clean and I didn't have an issue with this place. There was a receptionist at the restaurant underneath that checked me in and gave me the keys. She was funny. She asked me if I wanted to add breakfast on and proceeded to tell me that the breakfast wasn't that great...so I didn't end up doing it lol

Do not get deceived by the photos they advertise on the website. I booked a double room through booking.com and was given a room in the roof. When asked this was not what was advertised they could not care less. You will barely have space to move around in the room or even open your luggage. Toilet is extremely small and you will struggle to even get the toilet paper. Please do not spend your hard earned money at this hotel. The staff serving breakfast was rude. We were there at 9am and there was not much food left for breakfast. When asked to refil we were told it's what ever that's left. Breakfast was meant to end at 9.30am. No idea why would anyone Install a light right above your head ( see photo) hit ourselves multiple times when trying to get up. Have attached the real photos of how the room looks like so you are aware. DO NOT GET DECIEVED BY THEIR PHOTOS!! AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE A PLAGUE!!!

I booked through booking.com a room. Once arrived at the reception desk the lady said that they are overbooked and have no room for me. As back up she already booked a room at Mattenhof, which is located 20 minutes walk outside the center of Interlaken. Nobody informed me before hand. And no excuse. This looks like standard business for them…

Downgraded our room from a triple to a small double bed so only one person fit in the bed and other on floor. Said that if we didn’t accept this we would have to stay elsewhere so had no other choice and was only informed of this when checking in and we were told they had over booked. Some staff unprofessional - whistling behind bar, laugh at guests. Rooms very hot, no main ceiling light just lamp in corner and floor lamp. Bathrooms really old and had some black mould in shower, cracked tiles and missing drain covers (plug was just open hole). Front door security code didn’t work and we were told sometimes it doesn’t, meaning anyone can walk into hotel off street at night when no receptionist there. Terrible contact from hotel and booking.com about these issues and no response for over 24 hours, so looks like we are paying the huge price tag after not receiving the room that we reserved. I wouldn’t stay here for fear of being told to stay elsewhere or downgraded a room. The double room beds are actually small doubles/ 3 quarter beds so unless you are very skinny they won’t fit 2 people.

The attention was simply incredible, Lucia the girl at the reception was very friendly throughout the stay, the place is very nice, good location, good breakfast, they give you a free bus pass valid for your stay, everything was perfect thank you very much for all.

The property is very dated and dingey looking. Reception opening hours are awkward. Staff are not very helpful. We got a portable AC but couldn't make it work as it would mean leaving the curtains open at night so it was pointless. The breakfast so sparse and non existent. I spent a lot of money on this hotel and it was not a comfortable stay. I would say book early and find somewhere else. This was my last resort as I couldn't get a room for three anywhere else within my budget during peal season but definitely one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Wouldn't recommend.

Only positive thing about this place is the location. It's right off the high street, easy to get to from both train stations. All shops nearby. The main park is nearby.

1. The facility is extremely outdated. There was no sink in the bathroom, instead it was in the room by the bed. It wasn’t a counter- just a sink. 2. When the rooms next door use their showers/faucets, it’s very loud and you can hear it clearly. It was especially loud late at night. 3. Water turns extremely hot or cold randomly during showers. 4. There wasn’t a “bed”. It was a mattress placed on the ground. 5. There was a queen and a twin bed in the room so technically it fits 3 people. But it’s such a small space it could potentially be a hazard to cramp 3 people in there. The space was adequate for one person. 6. They don’t have key cards. It was an actual key attached to a very heavy metal weight. They refused to take the weight off- it’s was very odd and I’ve never seen this anywhere. 7. When I requested to take the weight off and take just the key, they refused, but the gentleman offered me to leave the key at the reception during daytime so I don’t have to carry the metal weight around. Then the next day I went to drop it off, the lady at the desk said the “key is the guest’s responsibility and not hers” and told me to take it. I explained what the gentleman offered and she said: “ that’s between you and him. Not my responsibility”. Overall very nasty attitude.

The bathroom is old & needs remodeling!

The price is affordable for my budget coz we went to a lot of places so we need just a comfy bed to sleep & a good shower to refresh! The location is excellent which is 15 mins walk to the train station. It has a nearby grocery which is also affordable & it’s near a park where we were able to sit & relax & just enjoy the fresh air & savor the views! The breakfast is good! For a budget traveler, this is a good one! If you have breakfast outside… it’s like $25 for a croissant & cappuccino for 2 people & this breakfast has everything- meat, cheese, fruits, yogurt & breads/ croissant. And of course unlimited coffee & cappuccino! It’s very clean! You could see that they maintain it even though the building is old.! They clean the room & towels are changed regularly! The staff are accommodating & friendly as well! I like this hotel it’s kinda old but it’s comfy & very affordable & near everything! I don’t need a very fancy & expensive hotel to just sleep! We are always on the go! So this hotel was good enough for me & my daughter!

Lovely location, close to shops, restaurants and public transport. Very friendly staff. Lucia was very helpful and welcoming. She made checking in and checking out very easy and made my stay very comfortable. The room was nice and quiet and very clean. Lovely Hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

The hotel was lovely, both the rooms and the breakfast hall. The rooms were vet clean. The included breakfast had a lot of choices and was of good quality, the receptionist was nice and kind. Also, the position of the hotel is very good, right in the center of Interlaken

the host was very rude, he had no luggage room & not even hold for an hour, rooms were not as per the pictures, and even if you not getting any facility and ask them for he is threaded to call the police. I am surprised for the first time in my life. there is no one in the hotel for services they are available at the time of check-in and check-out only.
