The room was soooo beautiful but it could be more comfortable. a better mattress and pillows would make it a complete heaven. But it was cozy and cute, with antique decor and vibes that just match the whole experience :)

The location. It is just absolutely stunning and practical. Right next to boats that go everywhere and the trains that go directly to the mountains. Quiet town with beautiful corners and tons of great places to eat. The views are breathtaking.

It needs some updating and fixing up. Nothing horrible but little things that would make a big difference. One example, being able to open the windows and keep them open. Also the Rollladen would not stay down. Would be helpful to have a mini-fridge in the room.

The hotel sits on Lake Luzern and has gorgeous views. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was a delight. It is very charming.

The location of the hotel is perfect with lake views. The staff were helpful and friendly and accommodated us when we asked to change rooms to one nearer the lake. Breakfast was fine and the special dinner we had for Swiss National Day was very good. Our bed was large and very comfortable.

Room has not even kettle inside. It is awailable downstairs only. Prices for cofee/tea/wine are incredibly high. Better not forget to buy staff in supermarket. Parking on site is very limited

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is in an excellent location right on the lake and right next door to the Rigi rail and tourist information. Breakfast was very enjoyable as well.

The staff was super welcoming and always eager to answer questions and give tips. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and is perfectly located (next to the lake, to the boat and train station and has parking possibilities). It also has a nice restaurant (with a cool terrace on the lake).

Other than location , there is nothing special about this hotel.There are many things which needs Improvement, First of all we were caught with surprise when they charged us more during checkout, we booked 2 double bed rooms for 4 people only to be told at checkout that they don’t charge by room but instead by number of people , nobody informed us during Check In so please be careful while booking rooms here as you might get a surprise in the end. Secondly they charge 20 CHF per night for cot which is alot just for the cot. Thirdly furniture is very old in the rooms, Beds squeak even while making a turn . Fourth very poor lighting, you need to switch on all the lamps to have some proper light in the room. Fifth there is no coffee or Tea in the room not even a kettle. Sixth it was very warm during our stay and the rooms dont even have a Fan , ventilation in the rooms is very poor .Last but not the least breakfast was very basic and after 8:30 there was hardly anything and they didn’t even care to fill again. They provide only boiled egg nothing more.

Both my partner and I kept bumping into the bed frame as there was only a small gap between the balcony door and bed frame- we counted and I have 6 bruises, 2 of which are large and painful. Definitely wouldn’t recommend room 205 for an older person with more fragile bones for this reason alone. It was very hot and stuffy at night, so a fan would be helpful to keep cool and help sleep thorough the night. We did have the balcony door opened but even with ear plugs you will get awoken due to the hotel being positioned near the ferry and tram stations. A fan for the rooms with windows facing the ferry/tram would make the stay more comfortable.

Amazing location and beautiful views from the room which made up for the small room size. I think other rooms for the same price are bigger but the view was more important to us. I wanted to wake up and see the mountains and water as I opened my eyes and that’s what I got. Absolutely stunning! The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating with any requests. The staff are definitely what makes up for some of the lacks in the hotel. From reception to laundry/ cleaning and restaurant - all really lovely, helpful people who go above and beyond to make the customer happy. Additionally, the food at the restaurant was exceptional as were the staff( but I already noted this).

The room had an awful smell, the toilet smelled of urine. We had to sleep with windows open al Night. No air conditioning. Just a very old hotel that badly needed money spending on it. The tap in the bathroom didn't stop running all the time.

The hotel is lovely and in an amazing location. The lake boats stop is just next to the hotel and the train up to Mount Rigi is less than a minutes walk away. The staff were very helpful both in the hotel and at the tourist office next to the train stop. The views over the lake are stunning. The hotel provide a visitor pass for your stay, which includes free transport around Lake Lucene.

They could have given a discounted rate if their facilities were not up to the mark!

They had a shortage or crisis of some sort so the Restaurant was closed and we had no access to the terrace after 6 pm. There was no house keeping either. Breakfast was meagre. For the kind of money they charged, it was outragious! I have stayed there before under VERY DIFFERENT conditions! This time was truly disappointing and a big let down.

The staff who checked us in were so friendly and helpful, booked dinner at restaurant for us, translated the menu, Our corner room had a superb view of the lake and book landing. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in an awesome area that looked out over the lake and was gorgeous. The out door seating for the restaurant was great. Surrounded by lovely areas to walk. Again the staff were some of the most helpful and friendly of out trip. It was just yard from the boat dock and Mt Rigi cogwheel train. Great breakfast variety and menu for dinner.

Beware if you book a north facing lake view room via booking.com I booked this but was then given a south facing first floor room overlooking the busy road to the station. Not sure if this was because I was a solo traveller but so disappointing to not get the room I booked and was really looking forward to. Furthermore the hotel didn’t respond to booking.com to resolve my complaint.
