No twin beds in a bigger room with a toilet door- the person at reception had to make a plan for us. Think about catering for friends staying together who prefer privacy in the toilet!

- Room was on the smaller side, but this is common in continental Europe - Corridors could do with being slightly modernised, but were clean and well maintained - Around a 15 minute walk/ 7 minute tram ride from Basel old town, may be too far for some people - Coffee machine in the room was quite difficult to operate, instructions in English would have been nice

- Impressive building externally - Foyer area modern and spacious - Friendly staff on the front desk, with good English skills - Room itself was clean and had a fantastic view over Basel (south facing) - Hotel seemed quiet and peaceful, no noise issues - I didn't use the restaurant, but the food looked good and it appeared to be busy - Tram stop outside, with multiple lines in operation - Shops e.g. supermarkets within a short walk - Area generally safe, even later at night

WiFi was a bit patchy and no opening windows in the room but understandable as it is a tall building. Difficult to set the ac to a good temperature. Room was a bit on the smaller side but was fine as it was just the two of us.

Staff were lovely especially the young man with the moustache who checked us in. Great view and clean room and it was in a good location everything within a 20 minute walk. Great clean bathroom.

In the first night of our staying it was quite cold in the room (end of February). We received a heater, but after five minutes it was off … stoped working.

Initially I was supplied an uncleaned room on arrival, which was quickly corrected by the staff by changing rooms. 25 euro for 4 glasses of tea and 5 euro for a small bottle of fanta is expensive, even for Suisse living standards.

Very polite staff. The view from the room over Basel is stunning. The view and sunset from the roof top bar is even more breath taking (you have to pay extra for access). The location is very close to the city center. It is a nice opportunity for a walk or using the included free public transport pass. The breakfast buffet is excellent and elaborate. There is an excellent parking in the basement.

However, there was some confusion regarding the rooftop bar on the 30th floor. While it’s advertised as part of the hotel, it’s only accessible to special members, not hotel guests, which seemed a bit unclear.

Great location, just 15 minutes from the center, with bus and tram stops very close by. The hotel is modern and spacious, offering excellent service and a restaurant with tasty food. We had a large room with a big bathroom, fresh new towels, and a free minibar stocked with Pepsi, water, beer, juice, and even a pack of peanuts, which were replenished daily at no extra charge.

Room design was awful. Open shower was uncomfortable and flooded the bathroom. No room service, no clean towels. Not enough German style electrical sockets. Light switches were difficult. Wardrobe slider door was stupid and unnecessary.

The hotel is very warm, on winter you would think it’s good but it’s TOO WARM even if we set the room temperature to 1°. We didn’t use our blankets and woke up a few times because it was uncomfortable. The staff is discreet I guess but they need more warmth I think. Also the pillows as others have mentioned, would go very flat.

Great hotel with a nice view of the city! Great selection for breakfast. Rooms are a little small but everything is new and maintained.

The pillows are awful, no support at all. Far too soft. I had to take painkillers for neck pain. Never got one good nights sleep. Inadequate wardrobe space…..unless you’re a man. I could hang jerseys, trousers, skirts ok but dresses? No. They had to hang with hemlines crumpled. Underwear? No drawers so had to be left folded in piles underneath everything on hangers but inevitably became strewed all over the place. Drawers were sadly missed. Nowhere to tidy your chargers and cables away when not in use. The desk just became a cluttered mess. Living in a hot sunny climate, I came to get the feel of Christmas, wintery Christmas, visit markets. Yet I stayed in a hotel that showed no signs of Christmas. How sad.

It was a short break but the hotel was modern and clean. Your staff were lovely. Food was delicious. Drinks were served as they should be. With care and attention to detail. Your barman (ground floor) was an absolute craftsman.

The rooms are a bit small especially for two people with luggage. Two of the staff members in the lobby bar were very unfriendly and did not look very happy.

Modern and clean . Easy to reach from the airport. Rooms are clean and the use of the bar in the was good. One of the receptionists was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Her name is Maria Martin,the room cleaners were good.

The room felt overpriced for its size, and having only one bedside table was inconvenient. The check-in experience was a bit lacking, as the receptionist wasn’t very helpful, but the friendly staff during checkout made up for it.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by its prime location and amazing views. The complimentary card for Basel transportation was a fantastic perk, making it easy to explore the city.
