We stayed in Basel for the weekend. We loved the beds, the room and the bathroom. we had a good breakfast. The accommodation is perfect when you wil visit the city.

The bathroom designer had obviously never actually used a bathroom in their life. Water absolutely everywhere, impossible to keep anything in there while showering.

Modern hotel, our room was obviously newly renovated. Suitable for a family of 4.

a bit far to go to city center by foot. however the hotel provide a public transport card which is good to move around.

The room furnishings were very minimalist: no hooks for hanging coats / bags at the entrance and there was not much storage space for clothes or counter space in the bathroom. It was fine for a summer weekend but could be annoying for a longer stay, or in winter if you had wet coats. The sliding bathroom door didn't fully close, which was a bit awkward!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The shower was fantastic and the bed was super comfy! The soap and shampoo were really nice and it was also nice to see an attempt to minimize waste by using refillable dispensers. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and was available late in the morning, which is always nice on weekends so you don't have to rush.

The location turned out not the best for my purposes. Even though Basel is very small, I found myself travel a bit long to get to the centre.

Super clean and comfortable room, quiet and private, very nice staff. The breakfast coffee was surprisingly good also.

Lack of options for breakfast and milk not available in separate jug from coffee machine for cereal. lack of plugs in the room, USB ports at the side of bed not working. hotel parking could be sign posted better.

Breakfast was okay for one time, but quite standard and quality (taste, freshness, juices) was average. Not all personnel were enjoying their job to the fullest, which led to a sneer and a frown when we asked a question where we could find the milk. It made us feel like an idiot, but I guess more people wouldn't expect the fresh milk to come from the coffee machine.

The gentleman at the Ibis hotel gave us two rooms connected to each other through a door (that could be locked), which was brilliant. The children could have one room to their own and us parents as well. This made our stay even better. The bathroom was nice and clean. Great shower. The reception was very professional. The gentleman was quite busy but remained friendly and to the point at the same time. Well done! He took the time to answer our question and listened well. A good professional in our eyes. The hotel itself looked modern and seemed well maintained.

Check out possible till 12:00 (or later as a member). Beds at IBIS hotels are really excellent and the rooms have black out curtains and air conditioning. Free ticket to use the public transportation which also gives discounts on city museums and the hotel is served by 2 tram lines.

Being close to a main road on one side and to railroad tracks on the other side means it's not always quiet but the sound proofing is not too bad. There were dusty spots in the bathroom.

Great location. Fairly large room. Lobby with free coffee, tea or water. Helpful and friendly staff. Free ticket for public transport. Air conditioning. Varied breakfast options.

At this price level we would have expected a much larger breakfast selection. Moreover, some items (like bread rolls) where not refilled when emptied, narrowing the offer even more.
