Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

a couple of the staff at the front desk was not very friendly and never smiled and had a negative attitude when asked questions.
the room was a nice size and comfortable. the breakfast was delicious and a nice variety. good location close to train station. I would stay here again

We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. The location was very good for us. It's a short, easy walk from the train station. It's not in the historic centre of Geneva, but it's not far to walk and there are plenty of good restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We really liked the decor and layout of the room. Breakfast was excellent and all the people working at the hotel were friendly and helpful. It rained while we were there and the hotel even supplied loaner umbrellas. We would have been happy to stay longer than 2 nights and would definitely stay here again if we return to Geneva.

The neighborhood has gotten seedier over the last few years. Still seems safe, but noisier, and the traditional local restaurants have given way to kebab, shwarma, and chinese places.
Lovely hotel, charming rooms. Good breakfast. Very convenient location near a car rental office and not too far from the train station. On site parking (for a price).

The doors on the kitchenette require attention
The staff were very capable, respectful, good natured, the room set up worked very well, the location is very convenient if. you want to be in downtown Geneva, and the breakfast provides good options.

Nothing much to complain about really. Only felt the breakfast was not value for money.
Room was very clean with a well maintained and clean bathroom. Hotel staff at the reception and restaurant were very pleasant, helpful and professional. Breakfast was fair with not much choices. Brilliant location, in walking distance of the train station, lake and old town. Several restaurants in the area

We liked the property
We liked the hotel . It was in a good location for the train and bus station and to visit the old town and the UN. We had cooking facilities in the room which was a bonus. The breakfast was good quality.

The location is excellent, being close to both the train and bus stations. The staff are very nice and accommodating. One suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the breakfast options, which would make the experience even better.

80's style hotel room. Big enough for Geneva and with coffee machine and fridge. Reasonable breakfast. Central location. Friendly staff let us leave our luggage there for a few hours after we checked out.

Staff welcomng and friendly and even stored our bags the next day since our train was much later in the afternoon. Room was comfortable and quiet and loved the bathtub. Room had sitting area and large comfortable bed with extra covers and pillows if needed. Location was perfect to many shops and restaurants and very convenient to the train station. Breakfast was pleasantly located with a nice selection of hot and cold items and fresh fruit and yogurt. Staff very friendly and welcoming and pastries delicious.
