Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

You can hear next door flushing their toilet which woke me up.
The staff are very friendly and the hotel is well presented and decorated. Great shower and comfy bed.

The hotel was too warm for us. We had to turn all the heating off and open a window. Our room was very very warm and although in very cold temperatures I can imagine the underfloor heating would be great but we found it too hot for us. The room was quite small but did have everything we needed. Would have liked more sundries including milk and hot chocolate powder.
From booking to checking out the staff had been so helpful. Offering advice on excursions and the travel pass. The location was just off the main travel route from the train station and just a 10 minute walk to the lakeside. The hotel was very quiet and clean.

I had requested single beds in both rooms as the hotel offered that as a preference. However they refused to guarantee the beds after I had fully paid (with no refund). So I felt it was misleading. However, the double beds were actually separate mattresses so it was ok in the end.
Great location - easy to walk to everything - great places to eat around the area. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly - very quiet within the hotel. Beds were very comfortable.

I do not have any complaints regarding any aspect of our stay. Cannot think of anything that would have made any major difference.
Hotel is in very good location - a few minutes train journey from airport to main station then about ten minutes walk. Handily placed for all transportation plus easy walking to lakeside and wide range of good restaurants. Warm welcome from reception was echoed by all members of staff, particularly those dealing with provision of a very acceptable breakfast. Room/bed both very comfortable and we would be very happy to return.

The window was broken so it couldn’t stay a bit open at a certain position for fresh air and the closet door was not closing properly. No slippers in the room.
We much enjoyed our stay at Kipling Hotel. The location was perfect as it was pretty close to the center or the lake and to this amazing Christmas market. The room was spacious and cozy with everything we needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to us. We would definitely stay there again.

The orange juice could be better.

Locations itself was amazing! All people who are working for hotel were helpful, nice hosting. They provide gree travel card but probably it will not be needed everywhere is close by. Good breakfast.

The lift wasn't working and we were on the 5th floor 😞
Lovely room with a great balcony and the breakfast was good too. The hotel was in a central location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, really enjoyed our stay here.

Very tight underground parking, expensive as well but hotel allows for reservation so that’s good! Placement of TV in the room is very weird. Facing neither the bed nor the sofa.
Great location, near a tram stop where you can go to different parts of Geneva. Spacious room and nice toilets! Good amenities within the room (i.e Nespresso machine, microwave and utensils)
