Great location and the rooms are modern, well appointed and clean. The check in was good and friendly. The breakfast on my first morning was slow and lots of food missing from the buffet. The second day was much better.

The room was a bit too warm and it wasn't clear how to turn down the heating. The wifi bandwidth was a little low which could be improved.

For some reasons, the automated window blinds raised and lowered on us when we were not expecting. Technology sometimes baffles us! Otherwise, we were quite happy with our stay.

We chose to stay at the Sorell Hotel Krone because the hotel is within easy walking distance of the Winterthur train station that takes us directly to the Zurich Airport with a 15-minute train ride. The hotel met our very functional need, but was also a pleasant accommodation for us. It is close to the old-town city square, and there are numerous restaurant options nearby. We did not partake of breakfast due to our early airline depature, but the receptionist arranged complimentary sack lunches for us to take with us during our journey. The accommodation worked well enough for us that we would be happy to return in the future.

Space is a little tight with a family of 4. Booking an apartment with kitchen(ette), we were hoping to have the option of having a simple dinner in, but there’s nowhere to sit, especially as the sofa is made up as a bed for the kids. The only bathroom is also an ensuite to the bedroom. Fine for young kids but would be better with a separate access.

Great location (we arrived by train), very clean, very quiet, great breakfast, very helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay.

I tried twice to get a blanket to replace the duvet. They only brought me two sheets which I folded double to substitute for a blanket. This was my only complaint.

The staff is friendly and helpful; the facilities are excellent and the location as well. I plan to continue staying there during visits to Winterthur.

We found it very odd that a hotel of this location and cost did not have its front desk open after 3 p.m. and that doors were closed (though openable by electronic key) after 11 p.m. Also, when we returned before 10.30 p.m. on Sunday the door was closed. The garage is a nightmare - set apart from the hotel, tight of access (recommend small cars only) and involves an embarrassing drive through pedestrianised streets.

Though small, the room was very well equipped and the wet rom excellent. Air conditioning did not work, but windows opened. Breakfast varied from good to excellent depending on which staff member was in charge. Location was very central but in a pedestrian zone which complicated vehicular access.

The room had the view of a scaffolding and the smell of fresh paint was in the room the minute windows were opened.

The staff were very friendly and would help with anything if they could. The breakfast was good but a larger selection of foods would be better. The location was excellent.

The Asian girl at the reception was super kind I felt super welcomed, breakfast was fine. But the best part was the bed if I could had a chance to steal I would do it, it was most comfy bed in the world 😁
