United StatesShared bathroom 1 per floor was not good at all. They could easily remodel to provide attached bathrooms in each rooms, but sharing bathroom with other people is bad idea, specially at the price they are charging, which is not cheap at all.

Costa RicaOne could feel that the place was a bit run down and then superficially renovated. The community room downstairs was very smelly, not very inviting to even stay to make a tea. The toilets and showers are shared and were not very close to the rooms, so it was a bit uncomfortable to go to the toilet at night. The toilet seat was loose and the floor in front of the actual shower was soaking wet and not very inviting to step in to take a shower. There were many stains on the walls that just had been painted over. We were happy that we only stayed 2 nights, because for the price we expected a bit more, even though we know that Zurich is an expensive city. I'd probably rather choose an airbnb next time.
The location is great, very central, so you can walk easily everywhere, including the train station. The staff was very friendly and honored my request for a room to the more quiet side street. Check in was easy and communication too.

United KingdomI think the hotel should consider a free coffee machine in the communal area. Perhaps set out a few pastries etc in the morning, just something simple. Would give a bit more buzz to the communal area which is a bit soulless
Great location. Almost couldn't be better for central Zurich. The Hotel can be seen from 200 metres away and can be easily found. Staff were very helpful in all things. Its a budget hotel though so ideal for no frills short stays. Shared toilet and bathroom not a problem for me but you know that when booking. Price was also very good value for the city.

Firstly, I was lucky enough to have been upgraded to a double room! The room was spacious, clean and had a waterview! The staff were incredibly helpful. Shout out to Marco at reception who took time to look up the train schedule and advise me on how to get around the city. The location of this hotel is PRIME! The common room, kitchen and bathroom were clean, well-kept and very accommodating/spacious. I would definitely recommend!

The Hotel Krone provides a comfortable, relaxed, friendly environment in the heart of the Zurich old town. Conveniently located, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, great Wifi, atmospheric common room with views out onto the Limmat river and city views. A home away from home.
