Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe bed was a bit hard. It is a shared bathroom which I didint realize, but it wasnt too much of a hassle and there is a sink in the room.
The breakfast was a nice addition and the attendants were always happy to give me a second coffee. The location is wonderful, especially if you dont have a car. Its close to the train station, ski gondola, an organic market next door and a ski shop plus a physio/gym in the downstairs of the building. The rooms are small but tidy!

United KingdomWould be good to have more hooks in the room to hang up wet ski gear and towels. We had some confusion over leaving our bags before/after check in but it was sorted out in the end and could leave them locked up no problem.
Great location just 3 minutes walk from train station and Le Chable/Verbier cable car and on the other side the lift to the also excellent Le Bruson ski area. Room was clean and excellent value, nice breakfast too of croissant, bread, cheese, ham, granola, yoghurt, juice and coffee. Plenty of shared toilets and showers - we never had to wait to use them. Good ski room to store gear.

United KingdomNothing!
Good hotel and excellent location, right near the centre of Le Châble and close to supermarket, pharmacy, etc. Amazing breakfast, lovely staff. We had a twin room with a shared shower and toilet, both were clean with good water pressure in the shower. Ideal for a one night stay on our Walkers Haute Route holiday.

FranceProviding details at check in was a little tedious, but required for your free lift pass. Rooms were quite warm, possibly not helped by the carpeted walls :)
Expectations were low but this place is way better than the reviews! Bathrooms are shared but are clean and plentiful. They helped us store luggage before check-in opened. It’s close to shops and the train and lift station. Evening meal was absolutely delicious and so reasonable for this region. Brekkie was great.

CanadaA bit too warm in the rooms.
Cozy vibe, convenient location, good breakfast. My brother and I stayed in the bunk room- it was snug but completely fine for a night. Communal toilets and shower rooms were simple and clean. Added plus to have the ski shop on site too. Overall we got what we expected, which was great!

United KingdomThe condition of the property was poor and dilapidated (it was more like a youth hostel than hotel - see photos) ; the woman at reception (only one person , also in charge of the restaurant ) was unfriendly and unhelpful - and made me feel uncomfortable asking simple requests (such as where I could leave luggage before check-in), there was no basic amenities provided in the room or shower (hairdryer , decent body soap or shampoo) and due to the attitude of the staff I was too scared to ask! There were cockroaches in my room also. The breakfast didn’t start on time (over 10 mins late - see picture, taken at the time breakfast was supposed to start) and the choice was awful (no eggs not even hard boiled ). The room is HORRENDOUSLY overpriced for what it it is and the awful service : I can imagine that the owner must be pocketing all the extra funds as the place is understaffed with only one grumpy woman . I had to choose it as it was the only available room in this location available: DO NOT STAY HERE .
Only the location was good. Nothing else .

SwitzerlandThe value of the room. I paid CHF 140 for just one night through Booking.com (3 weeks in advance) for a room I normally wouldn't even pay CHF 50 for. Sure, it's peak season and it's a supply/demand thing. Ironically this was actually one of the cheaper options (some hotel rooms go up in the thousands!) but stil this is ridiculous. Shared bathroom/toilet with other guests, paperthin walls (i woke up several times during the night because other guests arrived, ran the tap, dropped something etc.) and I couldn't open the window for fresh air because there was a rattling generator just outside of the room. The rooms are basic, almost spartan, no luxury.
Location is very central and 5 mins walking to the bubble up to Verbier. Generally room was clean and staff friendly and responsive, although they only speak French.
