The resort is perfectly located in Zermatt. Great location that’s only 5 minutes from the train station and the main strip of downtown. The breakfast is wonderful. Also, the pool and the sauna are perfect to relax after a day at the mountains. The view is amazing. The terrace is great. Room was cosy and comfortable. The staff is polite.

Exceptional stay. Corner room with Matterhorn view and balcony was worth the spend. Extremely spacious, comfortable. Cleaning service twice per day. Fantastic staff everywhere! Large Spa with multiple heated pools and saunas. Bathrobes, towels, slippers all provided. Fresh, tasty breakfast. Also had dinner at one of the restaurants and would highly recommend the Fondue. Shuttle to/from train station. Next to bus station and Rothorn cable car. Walking distance to all shops/city centre.

Cons: One of the staff was extremely rude. She was the front desk worker when we came in on day one to see if we could check in early and before I even told her our names she said the room wasn’t ready. She also ended up being our server for dinner one evening and was very rude. She told someone in our group that wanted schnapps that they normally don’t serve that until dessert. He wants schnapps and ordered schnapps, end of story. Dinner at the restaurant in the hotel was a 6 course meal and was mediocre. It took a painfully long 3.5 hours to get in and out. We have three young kids so this was frustrating. Our reservation was 7pm and we finally could go at 10:30pm. The pools should be open later. They close at 8pm so you can’t enjoy any evening swim after dinner. Our train left at 6am on check out day so the kitchen very nicely prepared box breakfasts for the next day. They didn’t tell us to come pick them up that evening and then called at 10pm as we were asleep to let us know that we needed to come pick them up now. That was not appreciated at all. We sent our kids down to grab them and then they wouldn’t give them to the kids because we needed to come pay the room charges first? Again nothing was said about this and they took our card at check in for incidentals. All in all it was okay, I probably would stay somewhere else next time that doesn’t have these downsides. We’ve stayed at the Matterhorn Focus several times before and that was a much better and true 4 star experience.

Pros: Great location that’s only 5 minutes from the train station and the main strip of downtown. The Matterhorn lift is about an 18 min walk. Fantastic breakfast- maybe the best we had on this trip with salmon, egg station, fresh baked goods and even Prosecco. Outdoor pool and spa are top notch.

The hotel shuttle was not at the train station when we arrived as I had previously requested and we had to pay for a taxi. I found out later, they are very small shuttles and they had taken another transport and if we would have waited longer, it was returning to get us.

While the included breakfast had many options, it was unfortunate that some guests were very pushy when it came to getting their food. It was frustrating when large groups would push to the front, ignoring people waiting in line, to get their breakfast and tables first.

Having use of the soaking pools was incredible, we used those facilities a few times. And having the shuttle take us to the train station upon checkout was an appreciated gesture.

I travelled with my adult daughter and we had a great experience ! I will tell everyone about your amazing resort. The amenities were fantastic and we felt very special staying in the 3rd building. The breakfast was superior ! Our view of the Matterhorn was above expectation. We would stay again for sure, I wouldn't even look anywhere else !

Everything was perfect!

Everything!! This resort is absolutely incredible. We loved that they offer a shuttle to pick you up from the train station, the property itself is stunning, all of the staff are helpful, accommodating, and kind, the pool and spa area is top notch, and the room is flawless. Our room had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in, the best hotel shower we’ve ever experienced, and the most incredible balcony and view. Now let’s talk food: we ate at the breakfast buffet and two of the three restaurants on site: Melted and La Ginabelle. The fondue at Melted is unbelievably good and the entrcôte at the La Ginabelle Restaurant was delicious! Both properties share an extensive wine list that was very impressive. Breakfast was great as well! I literally cannot say enough good things about this resort and will be recommending it to everyone! Bravo Resort La Ginabelle!
