Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe hotel is old.
There was an issue with my booking - I booked triple room which was supposed to have one double bed and two single beds. Unfortunately upon checking in it became clear that triple room has only three single beds. Fortunately the lady at the reception desk was able to resolve the problem and we got quadruple room.

SwitzerlandI was surprised by a virtual person checking me in. Nothing bad, they all were polite, but the feeling is very weird. Room is not soundproof. Both nights we had groups of other guests traveling together. Every noise from the corridor and neighbour rooms were heard very clear. Breakfast was kind of filled with lots of stuff, but it was quite hard to choose anything to eat (that part is always personal since every persons needs are different, technically they have all the variety of food which is provided by most of the hotels), first morning the coffee machine was not working, I had to request fried eggs, very lovely girl seemed quite busy and I felt almost like I am distracting her by asking, the next morning we ate whatever we managed and then looked for other options to eat after. The part which I really did not like-is that both evenings the bar was filled with men drinking, not like an average hotel bar or lobby bar. we went down twice to get something for ourselves and, then when it was time for dinner we decided to stay in and not eat because I did not want to pass by reception which is joined to the bar. Because of that I would not go there again.
The room was very clean! comfortable beds, new not stained bed sheets, bathroom clean (except one tiny spot, otherwise spotless), room maids were very helpful, nice and polite! Situated 5 mins from the station and 5 minutes from the main street with all of the shops.

NetherlandsThe rooms were a bit old fashioned. The bathroom tap was broken, the bedlight wasn't working, which was a bit disappointing.

ItalyWe had a disappointing experience with the client service during our stay. At checkout, we encountered issues with card payments—two of our cards were declined without any explanation. Both cards had worked perfectly in the restaurants and stores around the village, so we were surprised they were not accepted at the hotel. Ultimately, we had to pay in cash, and the hotel applied an additional charge for currency exchange without clearly explaining the rate used. We also did not receive a receipt for our cash payment. Upon reflection, we suspect the hotel may not accept the Maestro circuit, but no one from the team informed or assisted us in resolving the issue. Had we been aware of this, we would have attempted payment with our Visa card instead.
The hotel is conveniently located and offers good value for money. Despite being situated directly in front of the train station, the room was comfortable and remarkably quiet.

CanadaWe didn't like that there was only a remote reception. We could not understand the receptionist because the mic kept cutting in and out. Broken english, no german.
Location was good. It was clean and although the walls are very "thin", it wasn't noisey.

GermanyThe $15 breakfast consists of bread, more bread, crackers, and burnt coffee. Save your stomach and pick one of the many amazing cafes nearby.
The room was clean, in a great location, and the beds were comfortable. Bring earplugs if you don't like city noises.

NetherlandsThere was a lot of confusion between what I booked on Booking.com, and what the hotel actually thought I had booked. I booked double bed for one night - the hotel had two beds for two nights in their system. Probably software related? It took quite some effort by the very helpful and nice staff (who talk to you on video from somewhere else completely) to fix it all.
Nothing wrong with the hotel. Basic, but agreeable.

Netherlands• No airco and ventilator wasn’t strong enough to cool down the ambient, specially in the summer (august 2024). • “Virtual reception”! I didn’t like it but It works. • 🅿️ PARKING is a PIA! There is no private parking (I already knew beforehand) and finding parking spots on the streets is not an easy task, even when you find one, you can only park for a maximum of 2 hours, so you have to drive away and look for another zone for the next 2 hours, Not the hotel’s fault but it is worth to take in consideration if you plan to visit the city by car. However from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am and on Sundays it is free! • Room was missing a mirror looks like it broke and they didn’t replace it! • The wall had been touched up for renovation, like they filled in some holes but needed a coat of paint!
• Comfortable beds • White and very clean bed linen and towels! • Good Wi-Fi in all areas • Bathroom simple but clean and very strong and hot shower! • Cleanliness! The room is spotless and clean • Lift • Despite being in front of the train line, closing the window didn't hear anything! • Price! I took 2 rooms for my family for 2 nights and it was a very good deal! • Great value for your money!

SwitzerlandThe hotel should include the "Tourist Tax" in its prices. I thought we were being robbed when they asked us to pay it! They could have positioned us a little better on a floor that was not directly above the smokey bar, which seems to attract some odd people.
It had all we needed, and it was clean. It is well positioned near the centre of Bulle. Good shower.
