Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The blanket was too small for 2 people: we slept on the queen-size bed under twin-size blanket. One more pillow would be great to have as well.
Excellent location; clean and cozy room. Good breakfast. The train 10, which comes from the airport, stops right at the hotel's doors, about 15 meters away. Taking a train safe money on taking a taxi

Noisy with the window open but quiet if you closed it. We were there when it was cooler weather so that could be an issue if you needed the air. With the location you get all the activity though!
Location was excellent! Close to train and all transportation including the Polybahn which was just nextdoor. View was great! Staff was very helpful and our room was ready before the check in time which was really great!

Location was perfect. 10min walk from the Zurich HB. Within the Old Town. Very clean. Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Check in/out was trouble-free. Highly recommended.

Very small rooms. Looked like old hotel. Toilet had weird smell all the time. Was ok for one night stay.
We only stayed one night here. Basically we wanted to cover some sightseeing close by and take train from Zurich to Florence the next morning. For the price the stay was ok. Close to Zurich HB station. Bus stop was right in front of the hotel to go out for sightseeing. Rooms were ok very small though. The hotel seemed very old but well maintained.

I was hoping there is at least a coffee machine or kettle with some tea bags in the room, that will elevate the stay experience a lot.
great great location! Very convenient. Central bus station is right in front of the hotel, train station is 5-10 mins walking. Staff is very friendly of lending me the charging adaptor.

The downside of a central location is the noise - from people coming home after a night out, buses, trams, bin lorries and the funicular railway which terminates right next door. It was too warm in the room to have the window closed but too noisy with it open to sleep. The room was small which was fine for a night but would have been annoying for longer, and the breakfast options for fairly limited although what was there was good.
The location was very convenient for our late night arrival by train from the airport. It's right by the river which is a good central location for exploring the old town. The staff were very friendly and the bed very comfortable.

I would have liked to have at least a hot water kettle in the room.
The location of the hotel is 4 mins walking distance to the Zurich Central Station. The room was very neat and clean. The staff members were very friendly.

Loved everything. Perfect location (5 min walk from train station and 15 min walk from old city). Many restaurants and bars close by. Room was perfect. Comfy, good wifi, spacious. Shower was broken but it was fixed in no time. Breakfast was good, staff was nice and price was great for Zurich. Would definitely go back.

Arrangement for Tea, Coffee and an Electric Kettle could be provided in a room. Some toilet cosmetics would also be helpful.
Attending staff were very friendly. Room was cosy, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Though not provided in room, the arrangement made near Reception for Tea, Coffee and Milk was adequate. Location wise it was very near to Railway Station, Central Bus Stand, Tram Stop and Food Street. What more can a tourist expect.

WATER PRESSURE. It’s Europe, it was the fourth floor, but barely more than a trickle from the shower.
Well maintained, close to main train station, lots of things in walking distance. Staff very friendly.
