The only two issues we found withe hotel were that the wifi was spotty and the showers were lacklustre, in part because its an old building but in part the pressure kept varying and the water volume was not generous.

Great location, wonderful staff who were exceedingly helpful. Breakfast was great and well priced for a simple breakfast in the go. Beds were good. However all in all a great hotel in a prime spot in Zurich.

The stairs inside to reach the reception counter. Luckily there is a back door to bring luggage to the elevator. Understandably, the hotel is arranged this way because of its structure so it wasn't a terrible inconvenience.

Due to the proximity to traffic and the polybahn, it is relatively loud during the day and this started early (6:30). Not a problem for me - my sleep was not disturbed. The shower had too little pressure for my liking.

Can't beat the location. Room had everything I needed and was perfectly clean. I slept well. During the night it was more quiet than expected.

I love that the hotel is just across the Zurich Main traibn station. My family and I had 5 luggages to push and getting to the hotel was convenient. Upon checking in, the hotel receptionist was kind enough to hand us a map with all the Christmas markets around zurich. The rooms were comfortable but small so it would be perfect for a short stay. There are many halal restaurants and coop supermarket nearby. It is a sage hotel too. My family also enjoyed the free breakfast that came with it. The breakfast staff was warm and friendly. Highly recommend for families!

I wrote to the hotel prior to my arrival, asking them if I would need to buy a specific charger for my stay. I have one for Germany and one for the UK, but I read that you need a specific one for Switzerland. I was a little stressed because I wasn't able to find what I needed where I live, and I didn't have time to order one. It turned out they had plenty of chargers they loan to their guests. It would have been greatly appreciated if they had responded to my question! I never heard from them. I also wish I could have controlled the temperature in my room. A coffee maker in my room would have been nice too, but they do provide instant coffee in the lobby.

The location was exceptional! It's just a five-minute walk to the train station, so you can easily arrive and depart from the airport using their amazing train system. Also, the hotel is within walking distance to all the great Christmas markets in Zurich, as well as downtown attractions. My room was immaculately clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff person (named Beth, I think?) was SO kind and helpful when I arrived. I also liked being able to get a glass of wine from the restaurant downstairs each evening. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Zurich.

The rooms got very warm with the old radiator heaters.

Location was superb. 5 min walk from the central train station and 10-15 mintue walk to everything in old town. We only stayed 1 night before our flight back home but this was an ideal place for the price. Rooms were nice and roomy and the beds were comfortable. We did not eat breakfast or at the hotel restaurant but it looked good and was packed for dinner.

There was no EU electric socket, only swiss ones. I did not expect a UK one, but a EU one would have been nice to have. The password for the wife is written on the door - and that area was not very well lit - plus the font was small and the password has consecutive small 2 "r"s - which can be confused for n - that does not help either. I am still going to leave high marks for the overall stay -- since these comments do not deserve to slash the score - 9 is still suitable for what the hotel offers. It does not have kettle - but most hotels in Zurich does not offer this.

The hotel is 5 min walk from the main train station. Next to a Starbucks. The room was clean. We had a room facing a courtyard - not the main road - so it was quiet and we had a decent sleep. For Zurich, the price is decent. Since we only needed one night, before a flight the next day, we did not need a lot of "facilities". However on the plus side - this was the only hotel we used, out of 6 nights that had UK TV channels.

Going up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator

Is a fun place to stay. Close to the train station. While they do have an elevator you have to go up one flight of stairs to get to it. The brunch was a decent variety of things to get you going.
