First, there’s no parking, which we knew, but there was no place to pull over to unload. My husband dropped me off and he drove around and found side street parking for a quick unload. Next, had we known ahead of time to go in the back door, we would have. Several steps make bringing luggage rather difficult. *The lift is very small! 1-2 people with a small suitcase each.

There was a perfect coffee shop a couple doors down from the hotel (not Starbucks, wrong direction) which was quite a lovely way to start our day. The property itself held a simplistic charm. Location was good. We walked everywhere.

Check in and room availability was good , Room was basic but clean comfortable . One had to be careful with showering as the shower curtain sometimes allowed water to get on to the surrounding floor. Otherwise room was perfectly adequate and the hotel is very centrally located. It is worth taking the trip on the funicular, next door, to the top to Zurich university grounds where there is a great view of Zurich and the surrounding area.

Expensive luggage storage, particularly so, because all guests were required to access the storage room themselves, which meant that security certainly wasn't a priority. And the storage room was very close to the reception desk.

Excellent location, very close to the main station and restaurants and other shops. Staff was very helpful and responsive. Breakfast was just ok and could be improved.

Getting to the front desk is a bit challenging from what it appears to be the front door (closest to the train station); one needs to climb several steps to get to the front desk which is a challenge for some older folks like I. However, there is another stair in the rear of the property that is only two steps high; a lot more convenient and safer when carrying suitcases up the steps.

Location of the hotel was excellent. A walking distance to the train station and a great variety of restaurants and shops around the hotel. It rained two of the days we were there and the hotel facilitated free umbrellas for the clients.

This hotel is in such a convenient location. So close to the main train station and bus depot, and with the central tram stop in front of the hotel. The famous street of international restaurants pretty much starts at the foot of the hotel. Plus there are several convince stores seconds from the location.

Air con - the room was hot. The only way to cool off was with a small fan by the bedside.

Old style hotel - our room was recently renovated. The hotel is in the perfect position for catching trains. Room was spotlessly clean. Good continental breakfast made even better by our cheerful chef. Reception lady was very helpful.
