Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

- Spectacular location, close to the railway station, a big supermarket and next door to the famous Polybahn - Polite and helpful staff - Breakfast starts at 6 30 already which is good for early travellers

It was close to a Coop and the old city of Zurich. Makes evening walks really enjoyable.

Everything the worst place we stayed at, water kept on going up and down in the bathroom old and dated. It's more like a hostel. I would never stay there with family again.
All I can say is the location was great and that's about it. The fact that there is no air conditioning is a joke especially when the heat was above 30. The rooms are tiny and there was one particular staff member older blond lady who was quite rude. I would definitely stay elsewhere and pay more for comfort.

The location is in the heart of Zurich. There is a LOT of noise even in the night. Worse for people like me who can't keep windows closed as I feel hot and claustrophobic. So sleep was completely ruined. Else staff, room quality were all great.

No aircondition but with electric fan, still the room was very hot and it feels like I’m in a sauna. Woke up in the morning due to too much heat.
Location is perfect, very central and near the station. Also staff are nice.

Although our stay was in summer during a heat-wave, the quiet oscillating fan with windows open sufficed for us. Of course there is some street noise during the night, which could be hard for some people, we felt the hotel’s charm and location were worth it.
Charming family-run hotel in old town area. Directly across from transit stops, plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Also within walking distance of main train station. Immaculate room, updated decor, extremely comfortable.

A brilliant location with the trams and busses right outside the hotel. Only a short walk from the main station and street with lots of restaurants. The breakfast had a good range of cold foods and the staff were helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone and stay there again.

The rooms were so small and stuffy, there was ok air conditioner and the pressure of the water was so low it was difficult yo have a shower. One particular staff member with blond hair was so rude she should not even be working there. She informed me j had to pay taxes, then within 2 mins repeated the same thing as if we don't understand.
Only location, that's about it.

Room was small, didn't have air conditioning (I stayed during summer) and the bedding was very uncomfortable. Also our hotel sink plug was stuck or blocked so we couldn't drain the sink of water. Room was a bit old and very stuffy and the shower isn't very well contained and spilled water all over the floor.
Staff were helpful and location is good.
