We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThe room smelt of cigarettes, no air conditioning or ventilation/fan, If you wanted the windows open, there was only 1 curtain to cover half the window which made the outside light shine in whilst you were sleeping. Very poor customer service, didn't respond to emails or messages, no front reception on site. They tried to get into my room at 10.30, half an hour before checkout. Would not recommend this accomodation

AustraliaThe room did not resemble the pictures on booking.com, It was hot, no ventilation unless you opened the window and the door. The room faced the main busy road, even though we requested a quiet room at time of booking. So hard to sleep at night with party noises, trams and traffic going on all night. Not even a glass supplied to drink water, floor was dirty, tv did not work unless you unplugged the fridge, no other power point in the room and the linen was old and felt unclean, the duvet was stained. Would not recommend staying here at all.

SwitzerlandVery dirty place, stinks from cigarette smoke, shower was broken and cables sticking out of walls everywhere. The room was unbearably hot when I arrived. The room is right next to the main street on ground level. Open the window and you get nonstop cars noise and pedestrians looking right into your room from 4 meters distance. Good luck sleeping like this. I booked this room for two nights, but left in the first night. With the heat it and no fan or air conditioning, no privacy, it was worse than a prison cell.

United StatesHorrible Stay at Swiss Star Marc Aurel with Unwanted Intruder Our experience at Swiss Star Marc Aurel was alarmingly distressing. We were greeted by a room that looked like a post-apocalyptic scene - broken lamp, dirty dishes, discarded clothes and sheets, a disturbing stained note, and shockingly, apparent bondage ropes. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. After alerting customer support, we were relocated to another room. Though they were courteous, the new room was only marginally better, with a persistent unpleasant smell and a dysfunctional shower door. Adding to our unease, someone had accessed our original room and disturbed the belongings, evident from the property management's photographs, pointing to dubious security. With bed bugs to top it off, our stay at Swiss Star Marc Aurel was extremely disappointing. I advise others to avoid this property until substantial improvements occur.

Spainit’s old, bed is uncomfortable. check in from 14:00, but the person who supposed to change the keys for self check in came at 14:03, at 14:10 I had my keys. it’s not difficult to come 10min earlier, especially when it’s wall of rain outside, to not to make people wait outside saying “2 minutes, 2 minutes”.

The only reson we stayed was the fact that it was late and everything else was very expensive! I call them right after and they said that they are fully booked and that they have no other option than maybe refund us! I sent them an email but no one responded! This smell gave me a sinus migraine that took me three days to recover from. it was impossible to call anyone for assistance to have the room cleaned as the call center line just rang with no response. the property really needs proper cleaning, the stay was unbearable.
