We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

JapanBulk bed was a bit narrow(mattress was comfy) and my backpack didn't fit in the locker, not big issue.
It's a new modern HOTEL with shared kitchen, not like typical hostels. Huge lobby/restaurant, elevators, big bathroom in each dorms, nice towels and AIRCON!!! I say again, the entire facility had an AIRCON!! 2 single beds and a bulk bed in each rooms. I had the worst roommates ever 2 days in row (2 different person stayed 1 day) and had to complain to the reception for the first time. The rest of the roommates and I couldn't sleep at all. Staffs couldn't do anything for us because the occupancy was 99%full, but luckily the manager came to work and solved the problem right away. It would be an amazing hotel if you have normal roommates. A supermarket is on the way to the station.

United KingdomThe location seems to be on the edge of Zurich city centre. As a result, getting into the city is expensive (like everything in Switzerland!!) - we took a train into the city for dinner & it cost us €36 for a 15 mins train ride (apparently the cheapest ticket is the 24h one), so if you want to be centrally located, this might not be the place for you.

FinlandI let my 10-year old daughter ride on the elevator by herself which was a big no no. I got told off by one of the employees about this. If he would have told me politely it would have been okay, but he told me the same thing 3 times in one conversation with a very bitchy attitude. Didn't like it. I respect the rules, however where I'm from we use common sense also. I got a strong impression my 10-year old daughter is more capable riding on the elevator than the employee I was talking with, so I didn't see is as that big of a problem. However I respect the rules, even if I don't agree with them. That guy should get some customer service training . If you are a professional you should always be respectful to the customer.
Better what I expected in terms of cleanliness and stylish decor. The room was big.

United StatesI didn’t care much for the location. There was nothing to do near by. We had to take the train for at least 15-20 minutes to get into a nicer area where there was more to do.
I liked how close the bus and train stations were given the fact that we had to take that form of transportation everywhere we went. Rooms were very clean, food and drinks were good at the bar, and I felt secure and safe staying in my room due to the security system they have with the key cards.

Its clean and staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet reasonably cheap and it doesnt feel like your in a hostel. I wouldn't mind staying again in our next trip
