Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

- Being near the Bahnhof there was some noise of the train passing. - Breakfast good, would like to see more sweet pastries.
- Good location near the S-Bahnhof station and 15 min from downtown Zürich. - Very clean and good size bedroom. I loved the very urban concrete style of the bedroom.

Not a major issue but I hoped that they had more washers in the facility. The rooms are a little smaller but it is not a big issue for my family.
It is very close to the train station. Easy check-in. They have a shared kitchen which we used a lot for dinner. You can store the food in their shared refrigerator. Overall, great stay, and would recommend it!

We should have paid for parking but staff suggested we park out the front as we were only there for 1 night and arrived in the evening. Unfortunately we ended up with a parking fine.
Clean, comfortable, practical. We were only there for one night but found it met our needs perfectly.

The communal kitchen had all the necessary utensils. It's nice. However, because it is used by many people, it naturally wears out. It can be ensured that the kitchen and the items in the kitchen stay cleaner.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The view from our room was beautiful. Price/performance was good for Zurich. It was very close to the train station. With the S4, the center could be reached in 15 minutes.

Missing a small fridge in the room.
Room was clean & spaces. Hotel provided a common kitchen for cooking which is very useful. Near Spar & train station.

Kitchen was kept dirty by people some days. Room wasn't available at the time of check-in with no ETA given. Spoiled our plans for the first day. Had to leave our stuff and go to the city, even though it was 14:00..
Its close to the train station. Though trains to center are sometimes after 20 minutes so planning day trips from Zurich adds 30-40 minutes to travel time from hotel. Room was standard meninger. Nothing special. Beds are not that comfy. No double bed or double duvet.

I liked everything. It's pretty expensive for a shared room, but Zurich is very expensive no matter what, and I booked late, so that may explain the price in part.
I stayed in a 4 person female room and it was good. The other person in the room was always asleep when I arrived and left early, so we didn't meet. The bed was comfortable and the curtains were effective. It's a convenient location to get into the city (~15 mins on the train, costs 4.40chf, frequent during the day, every 30 minutes in the evening). I didn't use the bathrooms or any of the common facilities. Also didn't connect to the wifi or eat breakfast, so I'm not sure about those things.

Oh the shower head came off. But no big deal.
Wonderful warm welcome from staff (Seba in particular really, lovely guy) Made me feel very comfortable when i was in a bind with booking. Com Wonderful quality warm bedding and soft mattresses Breakfasts were amazing. So much choice and delicious with hard working staff.
