This is a small hotel with big amenities. We loved this place. Location was great. There is a shortcut that brings you to the train station in less than a 5-minute walk. Room was comfortable, with plenty of windows that can be opened (unfortunately, no fan or ac). The bathroom was fantastic: plenty of light (we dislike bathrooms where the light is too dim), heated tiles (such a special treat, loved them), toilet was low to the ground, and thus very comfortable for us non-tall people, the shower's water pressure was great, the bathtub had a nice panel to protect against splashes and flooding the bathroom floor, heated towel rack. We had a small little lounge in our room that worked great. Nice mini fridge. Good amount of closet space (with great bathrobes). The hot tub was fantastic; everything was clean, including the shower facilities at the spa. It's not luxury, but the whole place is very inviting. The staff was super friendly. Prices in Switzerland are expensive always, and hotel rooms tend to be small, and in this regard, this hotel was no exception. But the amenities and environment were beyond welcoming. We would stay here again, for sure.

The placement of the shower head and the bathtub door. It was a little difficult to move around in the bathtub. Also, stepping in and out of the bathtub was a little high.

The breakfast selection was very good. The dining room ambience was very beautiful and relaxing, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk receptionist (Patricia, Evon, and Stepanie) were all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Metropol & Spa. Also, appreciated the shuttle service from the train station to the hotel and back.

The entrance. Google maps leads you to the river side entrance where you meet long wide stairs which is a huge problem when you are with a stroller, sleeping kid and luggage. Other side entrance is very nice but the path is super narrow (stroller width fortunately) and bumpy.

We absolutely enjoyed the pool and sauna. The view from the room was amazing. The beds are big and comfortable. Big room and bathroom. Stuff on the exception and during breakfast is very nice, polite and happy to help.

Reception was very friendly. Hotel arranged for porter to pick us from train station with electric car and helped us with our luggage. Same goes for departure. We booked 2 types of rooms and it happened to be connecting rooms, which was great!

There were stairs up to reception, which made it hard to get my suitcases up to check-in (there is an alternative, back entrance to the hotel that is flat, so be sure to enquire with the hotel before arrival). No fan or air conditioning but luckily the windows and balcony door allowed for a nice breeze, although may need more airflow on warm days. All very minor compared to all the positives about this hotel, I will definitely be staying here again!

A lovely hotel in a good location, close enough to walk to town but in a quiet area - the sound of the river flowing nearby is lovely. A large room with a balcony and shower over bathtub. The onsite restaurant has delicious food and the staff were all polite and very helpful. The view of the Matterhorn from the restaurant/breakfast room and pool/jacuzzi is spectacular.

The staff were amazing! We've got a free room upgrade with the one with the view over Matterhorn. Highly recommended to book rooms with the view! They are worth a little bit extra. Swimming pool with the view and sauna nice and clean. Super!

10 out 10 experience on this hotel. Everything is nice and comfortable (Matterhorn can be seen through the hotel directly). Will definitely stay here next time in Zermatt!

The staff was so warm, helpful and welcoming. Very great service. Truly enjoyed the spaciousness of the room, the balcony and the bed. The breakfasts were the peak of enjoyment - could find a better way to start the day, amazing quality of food. The spa area with a small pool, a jacuzzi and sauna is just enough to relax after the whole day of hiking in mountain which the hotel is only 5/7 min away from.

The room was small and smelling like after ski (hot and humid). There were not a lot of options at breakfast. There is no easy access for people with reduced mobility.

The hotel is close to the station and has a nice view to the Matterhorn from the swimming pool & some rooms I suppose. The lady of the reception was extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a nice balcony.

The location and the staff .. exceptional Superb jacuzzi and pool and such a friendly and caring proprietor. Staff are local and bend over backwards to ensure a good experience. Breakfast was v good too.
