Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The paid breakfast was a great disappointment. I paid to have breakfast included and only took it one day as it was terrible.
The location was very good and rooms were clean.

the free wifi could have better signal. there could have been a 24 hour access to novotel reception in case of urgent need.
the room was always kept clean and public transport is very accesible. Even the shops and eating places are quite near.

The street where the hotel is located tends to be very noisy during evenings and nights, especially at weekends. Some may feel uncomfortable passing by. It was difficult to keep our window open during nights and not to experience the noise of nearby pubs.
It is located very close to the main train station, so really easy to access. Check-in is done at Novotel: the personnel was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. Room is convenient and equipped with small kitchen: perfect to make a tea/coffee or store products in the fridge. Overall, generally good experience. We also received a Geneva Ticket which allowed us to travel on public transport free of charge. Some good places to eat nearby.

A tea towel would have been useful to dry dishes. As the room was serviced it wasn't absolutely necessary as, being alone, I had the advantage of double quantity of plates etc for my use.
The room was a double hotel style with a shower room and walk in shower. The basin was tiny but adequate. The kitchen area was very small with little space to prepare anything. It had a microwave and kettle with sink. It was pretty basic but exactly as described. I stayed for two nights so found it adequate for my needs. It was a short walk to the station and buses and also close to the lake. You could walk into the old town in 25 minutes but buses are available. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room was serviced being a studio and separate from the hotel.

We had a 23kg suitcase and it was hard to get up the small stairs- that still wouldn’t put us off coming again!
It was a perfect hidden gem! Couldn’t fault it, it was clean and had everything we needed! The location was amazing and had everything surrounding it,

Impossible to sleep at night because of the noise in the street: drug dealers, drunk persons, prostitutes, all making noise and fuss until 4am. Then the trucks start to take garbage, deliver shops. Changing windows and improve acoustic insulation is a must! The room and kitchen are minimalist and look outdated but are aceptable.

"kitchenette" only contained a microwave, mini fridge and kettle. No coffee maker, stovetop, oven or anything to really cook with. Plates and cutlery were provided, but no bowls to actually cook in the microwave. We stayed on a weekend and there were people yelling and hollering outside consitently from 12am to 5am, which kept us both up the entire time. If you are into the nightlife, then perfect! But if you are looking for a quiet area for a good sleep, keep this in mind. Also there was no cleaning service for the 3 nights we stayed.
Location was close to the water, many places to eat in the area. TV had a music option that we could put on at night to try to block out the street noise. Even had an option to keep the screen off.

Kinda looks like a prison cell, with tiles on the floor, concrete walls and all the decorations from the pictures were gone. Also I would not call this a studio appartment. It has a mini fridge and water boiler that’s it.

The girl from the hotel reception was very friendly, close to town and to the station. The shower is amazing.

It says that the room has a kitchenette, and maybe we misread but we were hoping for a stove, nevertheless there is a fridge and a microwave

I could smell cigarets in my room. Room was clean but did not smell ok. I am not a smoker and this smell did not make me comfortable inside the room. Also around the hotel area there were many prostitutes and drug dealers ...
I really liked the idea to have the microwave and kettle in the room.

room was full of oversized furniture which made it feel cramped no fan in bathroom so lots of black mould around the ceiling
