Relatively small room, albeit with a small walk in robe, but having 2 suitcases there was little room.

Friendly staff, ready access to a car park (€15 a day) and water front location only 3km from Lucerne city centre. Free public transport pass with bus stop outside hotel, so easy to get into the city or walk along the lake front.

The rooms should have Air conditions since our room was like hell and the Fan wasn't working properly and felt like a sauna the whole time, night and day

The hotel should offer an included breakfast service as part of the hotel fee, as opposed to an additional cost, as this would boost the guest experience. We had booked this hotel to use the outdoor bar, the “Sunset Bar”, however we were unable to use this as it was closed on the day we had lovely weather and the day it was open, due to the rain, they closed early and wouldn’t serve us. Our room also wasn’t cleaned during our stay, however this may have been as we were only there for two nights. The bed was also quite uncomfortable and there was a lack of air con, only a fan supplied, which isn’t ideal when the room is hot and you’re trying to sleep, due to the noise. If you don’t pay extra to book a lake view room it’s expensive for what you get. The rooms could also do with a makeover to refresh the look as the lobby of the hotel and restaurant is much fresher and modern than the rooms.

The reception and restaurant staff were helpful and super friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The location was great - we had beautiful views of the lake from the hotel front and restaurant and it was right next to two bus stops, with regular buses to the centre, which was convenient for travel. Overall a great stay in Luzern.

The fan in our room didn’t work, we did report it to front desk but it didn’t get repaired. I had a bit of trouble getting help from staff when requesting a couple of wine glasses for our room they told me they were all too busy, eventually the receptionist grabbed a couple for me. The breakfast was quite nice though limited choices, staff at breakfast time were lovely.

I was asked to wait for 3-4 hours to get into the room after i upgraded the room which i believe was unnecessarily.

Taking the bus from the city center was a challenge at first until we got familiar with the route.

The Wifi. It would be good if they can improve it especially for those who work on holidays.

The City of Lucerme is a mix of both worlds: historic yet modern... love the fact they provided bus passes for those who reserve hotel rooms.. Location was the best thing about this hotel. Its just a bus ride awat from the city and you've got a great view on to the lake and beyond. Breakfast was great too. Wifi was not at all working on the 5th floor. Good bedding and linen. Had provided a fan proactively due to the heat. Housekeeping staff were friendly. Young frontdesk staff were very friendly and went out of the way to help while the others were average. Tried the Sunset Bar, opposite of the hotel, great pizzas and cocktails they had.

we got a room on the 5th floor and the view was amazing, we loved spending time on the balcony, specially at sunset time. we would go again, but during a cooler weather because the rooms come without a/c.

- For the price, the rooms don't have AC and the fan provided is very dusty. - Room was not very clean like they forgot to vacuum the floor or something but the rest are clean. Just not the floor. - lift is very tiny. Can only fit like 3 people.

- We loved the location. It is outside city center but close enough to get to by bus. The bus stops a few meters from the hotel. - Guests get free travel pass within Lucerne for the whole duration of their stay in the hotel. - The room has a balcony with stunning views of the lake, Mt. Pilatus and the alps on a clear day. - We were very early for check-in time but we were able to leave our luggage in their locker room so we still got to explore Mt. Pilatus without our luggage. - Daniel from reception helped us out with transport details on how to go to Mt. Pilatus from the hotel.

We were disappointed with the breakfast offered at the hotel. Considering it is a 4-star establishment, we found it to be rather mediocre. Furthermore, our room lacked air conditioning, resulting in uncomfortably hot temperatures, despite the presence of a subpar fan. The room itself appeared outdated, and the beds were not comfortable. In light of the discomfort we experienced, we felt that the price we paid was too high.
