The big Ikea closet in the room compromised an otheriwse beautiful space. With all of the great furniture made in that part of the world (Lombardy) to put an Ikea closet in the room is just wrong.

Staff could have been more knowledgeable to tourists upon check in. They were scare most of the time.

The picture was of a room in the original hotel, yet our room was in a concrete block adjacent to the hotel. They did go to the extent of decorating to look like the original, but walking through the lobby to get to the pool was disappointing.

Hotel Splendide is a wonderful hotel with an amazing location. Our room, overlooking the lake with a spacious balcony, was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were always welcoming and attentive. My only recommendation would be to consider updating the furniture, perhaps replacing the carpets for a fresher, more modern feel. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay!

It was very warm in the room overnight, we rang reception and they said it was a centralised heating system so couldn’t be turned down, so the only way to cool down our room was to open the french window to the balcony, and it was quite a busy road along the lakefront outside and construction work made it quite noisy. It was also more expensive than other lakes we stayed at (Como, Maggiore, Garda) but I think that is normal for Switzerland.

Brilliant spa which felt very luxurious. Lovely decor and big clean room and bathroom. Helpful staff who were there to help us with anything we needed. Perfect location close to the centre and right on the lake.

The temperature in the room was too high, and unfortunately, the air conditioning was not functional. I was informed that this was due to the season, as only heating was available. As a result, I had to sleep with the windows open to cool the room down

The breakfast was truly exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with a smile, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Both the room and bathroom were spotless, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness throughout. The furnishings were of a very high quality, adding a touch of luxury to the stay, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable and inviting environment.
